We’re tying the knot!

Mike and Krysti met while working in the substance abuse industry in South Florida. They became very good friends quickly developing a close, but platonic, bond. Soon after meeting, Mike shared with his family that he would want to marry someone like Krysti. While Mike was clear on his path, it took Krysti a bit of time to catch up.

Mike decided to move with their employer to the Indianapolis area. They begin a long distance romantic relationship.

Mike and Krysti are on a family vacation in New Orleans. Before dinner, they take a detour to Jackson Square, taking in the cityscape at sunset. Suddenly through the public scene the voices of street performers ring out, instructing those passing by to clear the area for a proposal. Krysti, having less than no idea this was happening, pulls Mike to the side following the directions being given. Twice Mike tries to coax her to the cleared area, but Krysti is as stubborn as she is clueless. She tells him, “babe, what are you doing? We have to get out of the way! Someone is trying to get engaged!” After these vain attempts, he finally shoots her a meaningful, if exasperated, look. Finally she realizes what is going on, and follows Mike to the cleared area where he proposes at sunset in front of the iconic Jackson Square scenery. She said yes and the rest is history.
