FAQs

If you have other questions, feel free to reach out to us at KrystelandChitalu@gmail.com.
Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. I mean we both work with children and youth in some capacity so we better! But we want our wedding to be your night off! We'll have a couple kiddos present for a couple loved ones traveling by plane from out of state, but we're asking our local lovelies to plan accordingly and make arrangements for your kiddos.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail, African attire, or semi-formal garden vibes please. But we want you to feel comfortable and since our special day will start in the afternoon and will be outdoors (reception is a covered ballroom with very high ceilings and tons of airflow), dress accordingly. If those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.

Question

How are ya'll handling COVID restrictions?

Answer

Your health and safety is of utmost importance to us as our beloved guests. We are planning within current COVID restrictions for Washington state, Snohomish county and within CDC guidelines. As of August 12th, Snohomish county has updated their mask mandates. We ask guests to please wear a mask when unable to maintain physical distancing (including ceremony), when inside the reception space, and when not eating/drinking. The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception is in semi-open aired ballroom with lots of airflow. We have extra masks and hand sanitizer available for our guests as well. We have planned our seating chart to group people with folks they know or decreased numbers at tables where some folks don't know each other. We will also have additional tables outside the ballroom for those that want to spread out more. If you are feeling ill, have been exposed or may have been exposed to COVID, please honor us and our guests by staying home and joining the livestream.

Question

Are you live-streaming?

Answer

We want nothing more than to bring together all the people we love for a grand celebration, but we recognize that COVID realities limit that from happening. We will live-stream the ceremony of the wedding and will make the link available on our wedding website about a week beforehand: Zoom Info: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83995168930?pwd=OVMvM21PenptM1puZkVpcFp3L1kyZz09 Meeting ID: 839 9516 8930 Passcode: 878690

Question

What about lodging if I'm coming from out of town?

Answer

We do not have a hotel block reserved. There's not a lot of attractions near the venue for out of town guests so we recommend guests make their own bookings for accommodations in the greater Seattle area. If you are looking for a fun option near the venue, there are cabins available for rent just down the road from our venue at Flowing Lake County Park. Check out https://snohomishcountywa.gov/2295/Cabins for more info.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to COVID realities, we have had to make some difficult decisions around numbers. Invitations will be sent to each guest's individual email address so please coordinate with your significant other for RSVPing. If you have questions email us at KrystelandChitalu@gmail.com.

Question
