7. Continue East on County Road 281 for just over 1 mile. This is a winding, climbing one mile stretch of dirt road. After a mile, you will see a Victorian home on your left. 8. Shortly after you pass the Victorian home on your left, County Road 281 forks. At the fork there is a large “Ranch Estates” sign. Take the Right Fork. 9. Immediately (only about 50 feet so watch closely) after taking the Right Fork, pavement will begin and the property gate will be on the Right. The simple gate is rust red and there is a small address sign showing “1200”. 10. Turn Right (South) through the gate, continuing 100 yards down the paved drive to Pike View Lodge which is white stucco with a red steel roof.

Check out this website: https://www.visitcos.com/blog/high-altitude-tips/ Also, good rule of thumb is ALWAYS carry a water bottle w/ you here! A few days before you all make the trip "hyper-hydrate", meaning drink 2-3 times the normal amount of water that you usually do, aim to pee once an hour at minimum. Colorado is a semi-arid climate, so not quite desert, but damn near. You will find that you will be more thirsty while here as well, this is especially true at higher elevations. The BnB is at 9500 ft, which means a difference of about 5% less breathable O2 than at sea level. This doesn't seem like a lot, but you will definitely feel it so take it easy and go slow.
