El Matador Beach
El Matador is one of the most breathtaking beaches in Malibu, with its massive rock formations, caves, and tide pools. Fun fact: the classic scene from The Notebook was filmed here. (Fun fact #2: a film Dan & Krystal still haven’t seen yet!)
Broad Street Oyster Company
If you’re looking for fresh oysters or a lobster roll, this is the spot! Enjoy window-shopping at the Malibu Country Mart, or head across the street to the beach for a dip!
Underwood Family Farms
While we haven't been yet, we've been told this is the ABSOLUTE best berry-picking in the area! But only go if juicy, delicious, red strawberries are your thing...
Blue Bottle Coffee
One of our favorite stomping “grounds.” No morning is complete without an extra hot oat capp.
Los Liones Canyon Trail
This is one of our favorite hiking trails. Take the trail far enough and you’ll reach an amazing view of the ocean (and on a clear day you'll even see Catalina Island!)
Gladstones Restaurant
We had one of our first dates here! Great spot to watch the sunset with your favorite cocktail in hand.
The Getty
Stunning art, architecture, and gardens all in one. What more could you ask for! Head to the Getty Villa for Greek and Roman art, relics, more incredible gardens, and ocean views.
SUGARFISH by sushi nozawa
Without a shadow of a doubt, our favorite sushi. If you love hand rolls like we do, check out their sister restaurant, Kazu Nori!
Abbot Kinney Boulevard
Venice Beach, heard of it?! This is a fun street for window-shopping and good eats. Some of our favorites include, Gjelina, Neighbor, Butcher’s Daughter, and Tasting Kitchen. We also love Abbot’s Pizza for a slice, and Salt & Straw for ice cream.
Hammer Museum
A perfect combination of contemporary & historical art. Have a bite at Lulu (Alice Waters’ new restaurant) and then grab some fresh cookies from Diddy Reise down the street.
Griffith Observatory
Who doesn’t love astronomy?! This is one of LA’s most iconic landmarks. It’s interactive, educational, and it doesn’t hurt that it has the best vantage point of the Hollywood sign. Also, swing by Musso and Frank’s for a martini or two!
La Brea Tar Pits and Museum
The La Brea Tar Pits are home to one of the largest collections of Ice Age fossils in the world. When you’re done there, go next door to LACMA or hit up the some of the food trucks on Wilshire.
