Hands-down, the most sought-after Exumas attraction is James Bond’s world-famous Thunderball Grotto. The glimmering underwater cave with natural skylight is located near Staniel Cay and offers visiting snorkelers a truly awe-inspiring experience—the kind that you simply must see to believe.
The shallow waters surrounding the southernmost Exuma Cays just north of Great Exuma have become fondly known as the “Starfish Reserve” due to the abundance of five-pointed creatures easily-spotted there, many of them larger than your hand!
Swimming pigs?....yes, you read that correctly! The pigs live on Big Major Cay; it is entirely uninhabited by humans.
While you are swimming with the pigs you can also plan a stop to swim with nurse sharks!
Located on the northern end of Great Exuma, this white-sand beach is dotted with beautiful palms. It is ideal for picnicking and most likely you will have the beach all to yourself. It is also well known for great shelling and sand dollars during low tide. There is a picturesque swing in the middle of the ocean that was put there for the fyre festival that never happened.
Our resort is all-inclusive, but every blog mentions the pig roast at the Chat and Chill Bar on Sunday so we had to include it!
