What do I wear?

Answer

Happily Ever After Party Attendee: Elevated Casual. Think summer dresses, skirts, dressy sandals; linen shirts, polos, light slacks. Comfortable shoes encouraged for outdoor games! Wedding Attendee: Garden Formal. Midi/maxi dresses, pastels or soft florals, patterns/textures; light colored suits/blazers, no black, collard shirts preferred, ties not required

Is There Going To Be Food / Drinks?

Happily Ever After Party Attendee: Yes! We will be having two food trucks ~ Grand Havens infamous pronto pups & an ice cream truck ~ from 1pm-4pm. We will also have beer, seltzers, soft drinks, and water. Please note, the venue does not allow any outside drink. Wedding Attendee: Yes! After the ceremony and photos, we will all be together for a semi-private dinner with a private menu made by the couple.

How Can I Bless You?

Answer

Your presence is truly the blessing, so gifts are NOT expected. We aren't exactly doing things the traditional way. However, for those that wish to give - we do have a wedding registry. Please refer to the "Registry" section on this website. A card box will be available at the event on the 26th.

What Happens If The Weather Is Bad?

Answer

In case of inclement weather, both events offer backup plans. The reception venue on the 26th has vinyl panels that can encompass the space. Heaters and ceiling fans on site and available for use. The wedding venue on the 23rd is already a covered indoor / outdoor space but does offer another option if needed. Worse case scenario, the old wives' tale says its good luck for it to rain on your wedding... a wet knot is harder to untie!

Is There Parking At The Venue?

Happily Ever After Party Attendee: Yes! The venue has a very large and private parking lot Wedding Attendee: We will be figuring it out as we go. Matt and I will be there at least 3 days before the ceremony to get a lay of the land - But! We can pick up / shuttle people as needed. We will figure out how to get everyone to the ceremony no problem.

What Time Should I Arrive?

Happily Ever After Party Attendee: The festivities are from 1pm-5pm. We understand that daily life is hectic and busy - so feel free to treat the event as an open house. Come when you please, leave when you please! Wedding Attendee: The wedding ceremony will begin at 4:30. Please be ready and seated by 4:20 to allow for a timely start. We are allowed to set up the venue 4 hours prior to the ceremony. Timing of set up / who will be setting up..... TBD closer to the wedding date. Matt and Jess have private vows and photos from 2pm-3pm off site. Jess will have a first look with her dad & brother after. If you are getting your hair and makeup done: This will take place at the carriage house, in the same location where the ceremony is. I will be sending out a detailed time schedule closer to the wedding. Food and snacks will be provided for those of us getting ready!

Are There Restrooms?
