Maid of Honor
Emily is Kristyn's younger sister, first friend, fellow movie enthusiast, and childhood choreographer/dance partner. They love carrying on entire conversations in the language of movie quotes and Disney lyrics. A talented Physician Assistant, Emily's wealth of medical knowledge and compassionate care display her kind soul and strength of character. Emily is a master of witty retorts, which is just one of the many characteristics Kristyn loves about her; to paraphrase a line from Little Women, Kristyn says, "I could never love anyone as I love my sister."
Bridesmaid
Dani and Kristyn became instant friends at their first day of student orientation together at Cabrini. They struck up a conversation about Beauty and the Beast, their favorite Disney movie, and the rest is history. Kristyn is so grateful that her friendship with Dani introduced her to the entire Shea family, who provided love, support and a second home during her beginning days as a Cabrini teacher and theatre producer. While Kristyn and Dani's lives have changed so much since that day (including 2,500 miles of separation when Dani moved to California for a few years), their friendship remains as strong as ever.
Bridesmaid
Tara and Kristyn met while working together at PHMS and became fast friends; they first bonded over their shared love of literature and animals, and their friendship has only deepened over the past six years. Tara is one of the sweetest, most selfless people you'll ever meet, and Kristyn feels blessed to have her in her life.
Bridesmaid
Kristyn knew that she had made a special friendship when she taught across the hall from Amanda at Cabrini, so much so that when Amanda moved to PHMS, Kristyn followed the next school year (all joking aside, Amanda is a fiercely loyal friend and an amazing teacher, and teaching without her "hallway roomie" was a challenge). Kristyn says she is so grateful that Amanda is a colleague who became a trusted friend and confidant.
Flower Girl
"Auntie Kristyn" fell in love with Miss Ada from the moment she met her. The daughter of Dani and Alex Quenon, Ada definitely embodies all the best traits of her parents: she is wickedly smart, a little sassy, and full of personality.
Flower Girl
Mackenzie, daughter of Steve and Kim Dietz, is Kyle and Kristyn's niece. She is a silly, spunky, Elmo-loving little lady who loves to giggle.
Officiant
Torey was first introduced to Kristyn as "Dani's younger sister," but it was not long before the two of them developed a friendship as well. The more time they spent together through movie nights, team trivia, and playing softball, the more Kristyn got to see the strength, confidence, and humor that Torey embodies. Torey knew Kyle through his experiences coaching with her and Dani's father, Mark, but she learned more about him as Kristyn started bringing him around to various gatherings. Kristyn and Kyle knew right away that there wasn't a more perfect person to officiate their wedding than Torey, and they are so happy she agreed!
Best Man
Kyle first met Aaron Kyle Schwartz in 9th grade as John Glenn High School's most outgoing student and for the two the rest is again history. Aaron's lively personality and sense of humor are a gift to all who know him. Kyle and Aaron have played baseball and softball together, coached their own sports teams together, enjoyed many a fantasy football drafts together, golfed together and above all laughed together through it all.
Groomsman
Kyle met Jonathan in 1st grade and the two quickly bonded over their love of baseball and Michigan sports. They attended school together all the way until graduation enjoying many morning rides together to school, autumn trips to the par 3 golf course and Saturdays at Michigan Stadium. Jon is a very talented golfer and bowler who is a great friend to all who know him. Kyle truly appreciates all the kindness he has received from the entire Gwizdak family over many years. Kyle and Jon now get to continue their friendship every summer playing for the St. Mary's Wayne softball team together.
Groomsman
Without question, Julian is the most fashionable of the groomsmen. As Kyle was playing all 4 years of high school baseball with Julian, he was always impressed by Julian's never- ending creative outfits, hairstyles and baseball hats. The trio of Kyle, Aaron and Julian traveled to many baseball tournaments, watched many college football games and attended many Metallica concerts together. Julian is a wonderful husband to his wife Courtney and a very dedicated dad to his sons Jones & Remy.
Groomsman
Kyle is very thankful to have a brother-in-law as patient and kind as Steve. The two have gotten the chance to spend a number of camping trips together and Steve is always at home in nature. He is an expert at outdoor assembly and has completed a variety of distance running and mountain biking journeys. Steve is a truly loving husband to Kim and an incredible dad to Mackenzie, Kyle's goddaughter.
Groomswoman
From their earliest days as Super Mario and Donkey Kong playing buddies, Kyle has always been thankful to have his sister Kim there for him. Kim is still a great game night partner today and now a tremendous mom and wife as well. Kyle appreciates watching and talking about sports with Kim and is looking forward to sharing that with Mackenzie in the future. Kim showcases more medical expertise in one day through her job roles than Kyle has learned in his whole life so he is very thankful to have her on his side.
