Please update us on your travel plans as soon as you know them (when flights are booked - so we are up to date)
There are plenty things to do in LA or the surrounding neighborhoods! We can also help you plan a California trip or neighboring states if you need any help. We might be planning a few day trips, but for now, we'll want you to celebrate with us from Friday night to Sunday afternoon :) Of course you should spend time on the beach in LA (recommended for the morning of our wedding day) just don't forget to put on sunscreen!
The evening will include the ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour. And then it's party time!!
If you're interested, you can watch these videos here. Otherwise, you can learn all about it at our wedding! We'd be happy and honored if you want to give a speech! However, we are many people and have little time. Therefore, we will keep Saturday night speeches for the immediate family members. Other family and friends will be able to give a speech during the Friday night dinner. If you want to give a speech, please let us know in advance for planning purposes :)
The music will end at midnight, and we are allowed to stay until 1 am. For those who wish to continue the celebration, there are clubs and karaoke bars in the surrounding neighborhoods with an Uber ride away. You would have to organize yourself though and keep in mind that most bars in L.A. close at 2:00am ;)
Yes! We will send a formal invitation by post about 2 months before the wedding.
Wedding nights are formal (same as in Denmark for the most part. Long dresses are more common, but that's up to you)! You can always ask if you're in doubt.
If you're from Denmark, you'll need to apply for an ESTA. Find more information here. https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/
Yes! At the moment, SAS has a direct flight. We booked our flights with SAS, leaving May 21st and coming back June 13.
During your visit to CA, we highly recommend a visit to Yosemite National Park if you have time. It's about a 5/6 hour drive from LA depending on traffic. Just a heads up that if you want to sleep in the park, you'll need to book well in advance due to limited permits. Find more information here: https://www.nps.gov/yose/index.htm
We have many! If you have the time, here's a list of some of our favorite: In California: San Diego Palm Springs & Joshua Tree National Park Santa Barbara Yosemite National Park Sequoia National Park Drive up highway 1 and stop at Carmel-by-the-sea, Monterey, and Santa Cruz San Francisco Death Valley National Park (borders Nevada) In Arizona: Grand Canyon Sedona Las Vegas Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area In Nevada: Lake Tahoe Or go up to Oregon, Washington and Vancouver. We're happy to help plan your trips or answer any of your questions :)
