Unfortunately, we had to postpone our wedding plans twice! It's now Oct 5, 2022. Thank you all for your support and understanding! We appreciate all of you <3
We suggest that our guests stay in Spoleto as there are more food options and things to do in that area. We are also having welcome pizza party there the night before the wedding. Please see the "Travel" tab for more details.
Yes! There will be a shuttle the day before the wedding from Rome to Spoleto, and a shuttle the day after from Spoleto back to Rome. For those staying in Spoleto, there will be a shuttle provided.
The celebrations will be held at the Abbazia San Pietro In Valle. Indoors in the church for the ceremony, and outdoors within the abbey for the reception.
You are taking time off and traveling far to celebrate with us, so we do not expect gifts at all! But for those of you who are way too generous, we are registered through Zola, and our list can be found on the "registry" tab. But please don't bring knives and appliances to Italy, we definitely don't have room in our luggage. Zola offers free shipping (and price matching!).
The wedding dress code is semi formal attire. gowns and tuxes are not required, though not discouraged! There are grassy areas around the venue, so ladies may want to rethink stilettos (That's not stopping Kristle). Early October in Umbria, and Italy in general, is warm during the day, then cool at night. Temperatures average at high 70s. and a low of 50s. Wear whatever is comfortable, Pack light and don't forget comfortable walking shoes!
Yo of course. There will be a traditional Italian aperitivo after the ceremony. This is like cocktail hour, but make it Italian. It includes cocktails and Prosecco with light snacks to ease into the reception, where you will have even more food and wine, and yes, an open bar. We are also hosting a welcome drinks get together the night before the wedding in Spoleto. Please see the "schedule" page.
Yes! The abbey does offer babysitting. If you choose to use it, please let us know and we can arrange this for you.
If your invite has "and guest" on it, definitely! If it does not, shoot us an email/text and we'll talk. We don't want any lonely travelers!
Yes! We encourage it! Though we trust that you keep your phones and selfie sticks out of the photographer's way during the ceremony. If you are posting on social media, please use our hashtag #BruceJumpsforJoy
