And finally, we thank you so much for all of your love and support so far! We feel extremely blessed and are so incredibly excited to celebrate this special day with all of our favorite people.

Our Story

It all started 5 years ago when Kristin and Scott met in Dallas at a friend’s gathering. Kristin was home for the holidays but would soon be returning to New Orleans for graduate school. Perhaps it was fate they met mere days before the new year, as they would soon realize their chemistry was indeed new and like nothing either of them had ever experienced. Although Scott withheld the urge to ask for her number that night, he decided he would do so at the New Year’s Eve party Kristin was expected to attend with their mutual friends. When rainy, cold weather kept Kristin home that night, Scott made the hard decision to slide into her DM’s. It was the perfect of beginnings to their non-traditional love journey. Playful online banter and flirting eventually led to an exchange of phone numbers. After weeks of hours-long phone calls, they made the decision to see if their chemistry extended beyond the phone. So Scott packed a little bag and got on a plane to New Orleans. After a weekend filled with laughter, beignets, and tipsy hand-held walks through the French Quarter, a month later Scott asked Kristin to be his girlfriend- and Kristin giddily said yes. Although Kristin’s graduate work led to a two-year long-distance relationship, they made sure to have regular visits and patient planning for how they would come together in the same city. When Kristin matched in Dallas for her fellowship, they could not be more elated. However, each were admittedly a bit nervous- what if their chemistry was partially due to the excitement of hopping on flights to squeeze in a weekend of romance? Through discovering their shared love for champagne-filled brunch, The Office, and one another, Kristin and Scott developed an unbreakable bond. On Christmas Day, in the presence of both their families, Scott so beautifully asked Kristin to marry him. The road has been long but well worth the wait, and they are so excited to celebrate with their loved ones on November 21st!
