As our venue is located outside of Metro Vancouver, transit options are somewhat limited. However, Ebus offers daily departures from Vancouver to Chilliwack. From Chilliwack, it’s a short (by Canadian standards) 20-minute drive to Fraser River Lodge. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any travel questions. We’ll do our best to help ensure your journey is as smooth as possible.
Yes! Within a 15-minute drive or Uber ride, you can find several hotels, including Harrison Hot Springs Resort, Harrison Lake Hotel, and Harrison Beach Hotel. Additionally, there are various other accommodations nearby, such as B&Bs, cottages, and resorts. The city of Chilliwack is approximately a 20-minute drive from our venue and offers even more lodging options. June is usually the start of the summer season in Vancouver, with temperatures averaging around 16°C to 20°C. However, there can also be moderate rainfall.
Weather permitting, we plan to hold as much of the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors as possible. Dinner and dancing will be held inside.
Yes! Sweet Bell Peppers, the local grocery store, is conveniently located about a 15-minute walk or a quick 3-minute drive from the venue. In Agassiz, you'll find several restaurants and cafes, along with a BC Liquor Store (perfect for stocking up your mini fridge) just a 6-minute drive (or a 30-40 minute walk) from FRL. For food and drink options in Agassiz and the Harrison River Valley, check out this guide: https://tourismharrison.com/experiences/dining/ If you have access to a car and want more choices, we recommend stopping in Chilliwack for your shopping before heading to Agassiz/Harrison.
There is plenty of free parking near the entrance of the lodge.
As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. Please reach out if you have questions!
