We ask that all of our guests get tested for COVID-19 before arriving to our wedding (preferably no more than two days before the wedding). If you test positive for COVID-19, please do not attend. The last thing we want is for any of our friends and family to get sick. That being said, if you are not comfortable with getting vaccinated or tested, we ask that you do not attend the wedding and instead we will find another way to celebrate with you! And if you are at all feeling sick, we also ask that you do not attend the wedding. We will not be checking for negative tests to enter the wedding. We just ask that if you test positive, please do not attend. For any of you who don't feel comfortable traveling or gathering during the pandemic, we fully understand and certainly prioritize your health over anything else. We'll be happy to celebrate with you in some other way!
Reach out to us, and we'll let you know!
No (unless your name is Padfoot). Yoshi is an only child and can't handle the competition for attention.
Address: 20765 E Gold Rush Rd, Gold Canyon, AZ 85118. You will be guided when you get close to the venue. We've partnered with Cloth + Flame, who will host a pop-up wedding/dinner/reception in the middle of the desert, which means, to get there, you'll take a three- to four-mile stretch of dirt roads to get to the ceremony and reception site. You'll get killer views of Superstition Mountains at sunset, though! That said, any vehicle will make it there (my low-to-the-ground Chevy Cruze is just fine, and I've driven at least three times by now!).
We do not have a block of rooms, unfortunately the hotels directly in the area are pretty limited. If you'd like to stay near the event site, we have added a couple of hotel options in the Gold Canyon area to the Travel + Things To Do section, any of these will work! If you're from out of town and would like to see more of what Phoenix has to offer, we would suggest finding a hotel in the Scottsdale or Phoenix area so you can explore! If you have any questions, please reach out to Kristine or Cory and we'd be happy to help.
We won't have shuttles, but you can rideshare (Uber/Lyft). We also have plenty of locals who would be more than happy to carpool. Keep in mind the dirt road we mentioned earlier.
Because we'll be in the middle of the desert toward the tail-end of winter, bring a warm coat. We will have space heaters scattered throughout, too. The ground is flat, but dirt, so wear shoes that can accommodate.
Nope! Once you get to the wedding site, everything will all be in the same area, with very little walking required. The ground is all flat, but it is dirt, so wear shoes that can accommodate.
Yes! We may be celebrating in the middle of the desert, but that doesn't mean we're roughin' it.
If Crush takes place on Feb. 12, 2021, then yes.
While we don't expect or require gifts, in lieu of physical gifts, we would more than appreciate you helping fund our honeymoon.
