Sylvan Lake Lodge
While we understand that it may be early to be making travel plans, Custer State Park Resort's accommodations book very quickly. Outside of the Park, options are limited, and you can expect a drive time of 20 minutes or more from our reception location. If you are at all interested in reserving a lodge room or cabin on site, the Sylvan Lake Lodge recommends that you call and make your reservations as soon as possible so that you have the best possible chance of getting a lodge room or cabin type that works for you. Call 1-888-875-0001 to make your reservations and reference the Brastad/Scarborough Wedding at the Sylvan Lake Lodge on Friday, October 3rd, 2025 when calling. If there are no units in the block that suit your needs, you can ask what is available outside of the block, instead. If you do have to cancel, this deposit is refundable less a $25 cancellation fee if you do so at least 15 days in advance. Guests who book more than 3 nights stay will receive 20% off per night stayed. There is a shuttle that will drive resort passengers between Auditorium and cabins/lodge.

RAP would be closest and most convenient airport to fly into to reach the Custer, SD area. This is just about an hour away from the main wedding lodge.

Shuttle Services to/from Hotels and Wedding Venue

Sylvan Lake Lodge- there is a resort shuttle available for all guests staying at the hotel/cabins. The shuttle does not pick up from individual cabins to bring you to the venue, so you should expect to go to main lodge lobby and ask for front desk for shuttle. AFTER the reception however, the shuttle will bring individuals back to their cabins- call front desk when ready for pick up. Comfort Inn Suites- Please meet outside the front the hotel for pick up to the venue. There will be a shuttle at 2:45PM and 3:20PM to allow for enough time to travel to venue. You can expect about a 20 minute ride. There will also be a pick up to bring you home from venue back to hotel at either 10:15PM and 11:00PM. **THERE ARE NO UBERS READILY AVAILABLE IN THIS AREA SO PLAN ACCORDINGLY!**
