Question
When should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that you please RSVP by August 3rd, 2025.
Question
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive to venue no later than 3:50pm. You may begin seating on the deck any time after 3:30pm. If you arrive earlier, please enjoy the views and the General Store nearby at the venue while wedding photos complete near the deck.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Yes- please wear semi-formal wear. Please be advised that weather in the Black Hills can change frequently so come prepared with a warm layer.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes- please reach out to Kristin or Turner directly with food allergies/dietary considerations. You may also fill this out on your RSVP sent by mail and we will make note of this for wedding day.

Can I bring a date?

Please refer to names listed on your invitation.
Question
Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes- for guests driving directly to the venue, there will be parking onsite. All guests will be provided a Custer State Park pass for the day of the ceremony. Please reference the "Brastad/Scarborough Wedding" at any park entrance or at the the Sylvan Lake Lodge to get your park pass for your vehicle. If you are staying in the state park- you will need to get a pass for remaining days.

Do you prefer we bring gifts to the wedding with it being a travel wedding?
Answer
Given that you are all coming from near and far- we prefer you have gifts sent to our home address instead of bring them to South Dakota. There will be a card box at wedding, but no need to haul other gifts on your travels.

Are children allowed at the wedding?
Answer
We adore little ones, but to keep our day intimate, we’re inviting only the children of immediate family. Thank you for understanding.

Will there be transportation provided to/from hotels and venue?
Answer
YES! Sylvan Lake Lodge- there is a resort shuttle available for all guests staying at the hotel/cabins. The shuttle does not pick up from individual cabins to bring you to the venue, so you should expect to go to main lodge lobby and ask for shuttle. AFTER the reception however, the shuttle will bring individuals back to their cabins. Comfort Inn Suites- Please meet outside the front the hotel for pick up to the venue. There will be a shuttle at 2:45PM and 3:20PM to allow for enough time to travel to venue. You can expect about a 20 minute ride. There will also be a pick up to bring you home from venue back to hotel at either 10:15PM and 11:00PM. THERE ARE NO UBERS READILY AVAILABLE IN THIS AREA SO PLAN ACCORDINGLY!
