We met while we were both out in downtown Grand Junction, Colorado. Sam was living there briefly after he graduated college in Texas. Kristin, who was living in Fort Collins at the time, happened to be visiting a friend who lived in Grand Junction. While neither of us are quite sure we believe in "love at first sight," we both can agree that something felt different the moment our eyes met.

When Sam's original plan to propose during a ski trip to Breckenridge fell through, he decided he would instead pop the question at Horsetooth Reservoir, Kristin's favorite place in Fort Collins. A crisp clear day and beautiful scenery made for the perfect location for Sam to get down on one knee.
