The story of Kristin and Ryan - ah, what a whirlwind romance. Though they were both supreme D1 athletes at Stanford, they never really crossed paths while at school. It wasn’t until 8+ years after college, at the fateful wedding of Blah and Pete Sefton, where Kristin heard Ryan speak for the first time. “Would you rather...kick a puppy in the face...or punch a grandmother?" Kristin was intrigued (and slightly appalled) by Ryan’s quick wit and quiet weirdness. Ryan was oblivious to the love of his life standing right before him, but what was the point anyways? They lived 3000 miles apart. They went their separate ways without speaking a word, most likely never to see each other again... Thankfully, fate had other plans. On cue, 2 months later their friends Dani and Jeffrey Schwimer were married in Whistler, and the two would see each other again. Love was in the air, and Ryan finally decided to make a move. He pursued Kristin with reckless abandon and absolutely no "game". When speaking in person did not go as planned, he resorted to asking his friends for Kristin’s number and began texting silly messages. And thus, their digital relationship began. But how could it be? A medical student and a techie? An introvert and an extrovert? A tall man and a short woman? NYC and SF? When a world of speed bumps stood in their way, what did they do? They did the thing where you kind of drive to the side so only two wheels go over the speed bumps and the other two are in the gutter. Read: they visited each other a lot. It was very expensive. Things continued to escalate, and Kristin made the leap of faith and moved to NY to be with Ryan. They had the most fun year in Brooklyn and decided to make it official. So they went out and bought a plant together. They fell in love and then got engaged.
