We can't wait to share our special day with you! We have a lot to be thankful for: we weren't forced to postpone our celebration, we're able to adapt, and we have all of you in our lives! Whether you plan to join us in person or send well wishes from home, we love you and thank you ❤️ First off, huge shout out to our venue, Ashton Gardens: 20+ weddings since June and not a single covid case reported afterward! We're really impressed with their enhanced sanitation measures, and we're sure y'all will feel comfortable there! You can see more of those details on the "Ceremony" and "Reception" events under our Schedule tab. Everything we do is with your health and safety in mind. Please note the following: • If you're not feeling well or have been exposed to someone who is sick, we respectfully ask you to stay home. • If you're coming from an area where cases are high, please use your best judgement before deciding whether to travel. • Masks are REQUIRED in the chapel, ballroom, and all common areas of Ashton Gardens. Masks may be taken off while eating and drinking, or when stepping outside. We'll have personalized ones available! • The dance floor will be open! At the end of a long weekend in Ireland, we met my sister in Dublin for our last full day. I led the way to Dublin Castle, face buried in Google Maps and totally unaware of a discussion behind me. Courtney's phone battery was starting to die, and she wanted Joe to "just do it already" while she could still take pictures. Crossing into the castle courtyard, I'm told to stop so Courtney can take my picture. I turned around to see Joe in front of me, kneeling down and holding up a ring box. I was so shocked that my first words were "Are you sure?" Joe just rolled his eyes and laughed, and my second word was a very squeaky "Yes!" BACK AT HOME: My mom was about to get a surprise. She had NO idea this was coming. Somehow my dad kept it secret from her for 2 months! Needless to say, Mom was a little anxious when I called around 8AM Dallas time. But her scream of joy upon hearing the news was loud enough to bring the bartender over with celebratory shots! The rest of the day and night was filled with giddiness, beer and scream-singing in Dublin's Temple Bar #bestdayever We're so excited to celebrate this new chapter in our lives with you!
