Flight

Providence T.F. Green Airport (PVD)

Newport is a 30-minute drive from PVD, a $35 Uber ride, or a 1 hour bus ride on the 14 West Bay Bus on RIPTA (Rhode Island Public Transit, $2). If you're feeling adventurous, you can also take a shuttle to the Providence Ferry Terminal and grab a ferry down to Newport. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)

Newport is an 80 minute drive from BOS and your best bet is to rent a car. Summertime traffic to seaside destinations like Newport can be heavy, so if you're arriving in the afternoon, please plan for extra time.

Train

Amtrak

Take Amtrak's Northeast Regional Train from Philly, New York, or Boston (no stop at the airport, though) to West Kingston, RI. From there, grab an $30 Uber (30 min) or hop on Amtrak's van/car service. Call (401) 295-1100 for info and reservations (required).
