LODGING / BOOKING for Excellence Riviera Cancun

The Excellence Riviera Cancun is ALL-INCLUSIVE and all wedding events will take place at the resort. There is a 3 night minimum stay BUT feel free to stay longer/come earlier and treat yourself to a nice vacation, we'll be there! We have reserved a block of rooms at various price points through Island Vows travel agency. Your nightly rate will be based upon your room occupancy of 1-3 people. Remember these rates are ALL- INCLUSIVE PER ROOM. Please utilize the booking link below in order to book your room. Booking through our booking link requires a $100 deposit per person at time of booking (balance of payment due by Feb 3rd, 2022). Please note that if you need to cancel (hopefully you don't though!), do so prior to Feb 3rd in order to minimize penalties. Cancelling prior to Feb 3rd enables refunds minus $100 per person and travel insurance cost if was purchased. Excellence Riviera Cancun

The Excellence Riviera Cancun is a 5-star, gated, all-inclusive, adults only (18+), oceanfront resort which includes 24/7 all meals, snacks, room service, all alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, activities, and entertainment. Along the resort, six pools and tropical gardens shine against the backdrop of the azure blue waters of the Caribbean. Ten of the best restaurants in the Riviera Maya await you. The resort has multiple bars and lounges including a swim up bar. The resort offers water sports, fitness and activity classes and classic games throughout. Night-time evenings consist of live shows, musical performances and festive theme nights. Guests will also receive 10% off treatments at the beautiful and relaxing Spa. Flight

Cancun International Airport (CUN) - FLYING TO/FROM & TRANSFERS

The resort is 20 minutes from the Cancun International Airport. We recommend purchasing your flights early to secure the best rates. If you have credits, airline miles or other rewards, be sure to take advantage of those! Regarding airport transfers, please indicate via the booking link below that you would like for them to be arranged for you. The cost is $35 roundtrip per person. Once you have passed the main gate of Terminal 2 international module, walk down the entire ramp to the end. There you will find the meeting point that airport authorities have assigned to all travel agencies airport representatives. BE CAREFUL TO FOLLOW THE SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS OF YOUR ASSIGNED TRANSFER. In general, any company will meet you OUTSIDE, wear a specific uniform, and will carry a specific sign and should have your name printed on a list. TRAVEL TIPS

-You will need a passport to go to Mexico. Be aware that if it expires within 6 months of travel, countries have the right to refuse entry. Current processing time is 18 weeks; you can pay extra to get it quicker. Passports are good for 10 years, and it takes some time so apply early. Please refer below to apply. -Keep track of your small (and easy to lose) entry paper that is given to you when you go through customs in Mexico. They WILL NOT let you on your flight back to the USA without this paper. If lost, it takes time and a hefty fine to replace and you'll have to get to the airport way early to do it. -Please bring cash to tip your bartenders, waiters/waitresses, and maids during your stay! Yes, the resort is all-inclusive but tips are NOT. The service is exceptional and you will find a very small tip will go a long way towards getting your drink faster. The workers truly appreciate anything. I suggest trying to bring small bills as sometimes it is hard for them to make change.

ATTIRE

ATTIRE Welcome Party: We will be having a white-themed party so please wear white. Wedding Day: Beach cocktail attire -Men: Pants and button down shirts, no jackets necessary. Please no shorts. -Ladies: Any dress or jumpsuit ** All wedding day events will take place outdoors weather permitting. ** Please note that the wedding ceremony and reception will both be on the beach so choose your shoes accordingly... or go barefoot. Resort Restaurant Attire: Please click the link below to see attire requirements per restaurant. Attire varies depending on the restaurant and whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. Most importantly, no flip flops for dinner and no tank tops for men. Some places require pants over shorts. April in the Rivera Maya tends to be at a high of 88 degrees and a nightly low of 75 degrees so please dress accordingly.
