Space on the bus will be LIMITED meaning it will require multiple trips to transport guests to and from the hotel. If you are planning on leaving the reception at a planned time, I recommend carpooling and driving and parking at the venue if you do not want to wait for the shuttle. To prevent long waits for the shuttle, we are planning on having multiple pick up and drop off times. GOING FROM HOTEL TO VENUE, the bus will start picking up guests at 2:50, every 25 minutes it will come do a pick up with the LAST bus leaving at 4:00. AT THE END OF THE NIGHT VENUE BACK TO HOTEL There will also be multiple trips to take back. We will have a bus planning to leave reception at 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, and 10:30.
Our anticipated ceremony start time is 4:30 PM, but we encourage guests to arrive 30 minutes prior to ensure you arrive comfortably on time.
There will be a task trained multipurpose service dog attending the wedding with their handler. Please review the following frequently asked questions about service dogs and reach out if you have any questions or concerns. What is a service dog? Under the ADA, a service dog is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. Is a service dog the same thing as a therapy dog? Or an emotional support animal? No. These animals have not been trained to perform a specific task to help a person with a disability. They also have different access rights. What kind of a dog is Mercy? How old is she? Mercy is a Great Dane. She weighs 125 pounds and is three years old. She does shed but shouldn’t bother anyone with allergies unless they touch her. Can we pet Mercy? Or talk to her? Please do not interact with Mercy at all. Petting, staring, taking photos, and talking to her can distract her from her important job. Is Mercy “registered” or “certified” as a service dog? There is no documentation required or official registration for service dogs in the United States. I have more questions; where can I find more information about service dogs? Please visit ADA.GOV for more information!
We will only be able to accomodate those listed on your invitation.
While there will be plenty of parking onsite, we also have anticipated shuttle service from The Courtyard Norwich listed in the "travel" section on our website. Shuttle can fit approximately 22 people at a time.
We have developed our station display with our guests in mind who have various allergies and dietary preferences. Gluten-free, nut-free, and vegetarian options will be available for hors d'oeuvres and dinner. Some passed d'oeuvres will contain nuts (cashew), please let the server know of any allergies.
This is a true backyard wedding where we will have a tented reception. Weather depending, ceremony will be outside. Please dress accordingly for New England fall weather.
Since this will be a backyard wedding, please plan accordingly when determining your ensemble. Block heels, flat sandals, or wedges preferred for ladies since you will be walking on grass. Semi-formal to formal attire is preferred for all, we want you to look and feel your best!
