Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Kristina Brunnler and Sanil Bham
We're so excited to share some of our favorite things to do in the Pasadena and Los Angeles area!
The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens

The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens

1151 Oxford Road, San Marino, CA 91108

The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens, known as The Huntington, is a collections-based educational and research institution. The Huntington is about 10 minutes away from the Maxwell House in Pasadena. Please note the gardens take a substantial amount of time to walk through, we'd recommend at least a few hours. In addition, online timed entry reservations are required on weekends, Monday holidays, and Free Days for the Huntington. Weekday reservations are not required, but encouraged for faster check-in.

Norton Simon Museum

Norton Simon Museum

411 West Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena, CA 91105

The Norton Simon museum is an art museum in Pasadena with work from notable artists like Monet, Rembrandt, Renoir, and van Gough.

The Gamble House

The Gamble House

4 Westmoreland Place, Pasadena, CA 91103

The Gamble House is an iconic American Craftsman home in Pasadena, California, designed by the architectural firm Greene and Greene. It is open for tours on Tuesdays, and Thursdays through Sundays. Advance reservations are recommended.

Eaton Canyon Trail - Altadena

Eaton Canyon Trail - Altadena

This trail is about 10-15 minutes from the Maxwell House. Pasadena is located near the Angeles National Forest, which has many beautiful hiking trails. This trail is not paved, comfortable shoes or hiking boots are recommended.

Runyon Canyon - Hollywood, Los Angeles

Runyon Canyon - Hollywood, Los Angeles

7317 Mulholland Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90046

Runyon Canyon is located in LA/West Hollywood area, which is around 30 minutes from Pasadena. It's a popular hike for tourists as it's been featured in many reality TV shows and has great views of West Hollywood, the Hollywood Hills, and all of Los Angeles. Some parts are slippery, wear comfortable shoes.

Griffith Park & Observatory

Griffith Park & Observatory

2800 East Observatory Road, Los Angeles, CA 90027

Griffith Park and Observatory is located in Los Angeles and is about 30 minutes from the Maxwell House. It's located on over 4,000 acres and is LA's equivalent of Central Park in New York City. We recommend Griffith Park over Runyon Canyon, as there's many more trails and more parking options.
