Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Marissa Brandt and Kristina King
Le Ruve Bianche is located in Villammare, in the heart of Cilento and the Gulf of Policastro, a wonderful land characterized by ancient villages, unspoilt beaches, unique archaeological sites, and a rich and varied food and wine culture. Here are some of the most recommended things to do:

Beach Day - Costa degli Infreschi e della Masseta

A marine protected area that stretches for 13 km of coastline between Scario and Marina di Camerota. The various beaches of the Costa degli Infreschi and Masseta are also fascinating because they are only accessible by sea or via long trekking routes. The most convenient way to reach these beaches is to take one of the many taxi boats that depart regularly from the port of Scario or Marina di Camerota. By booking in advance, trips can be organized that leave directly from the small pier below Le Ruve Bianche.

Beach Day - Sapri + Maratea

To the south of Le Ruve Bianche is the coastline between Sapri and Maratea, a succession of large and small sandy shores, cliffs, arches and grottoes, within a coastline that in places narrows as a result of the coastal chain that seems to plunge straight into the sea. The most convenient way to visit this stretch of coast is by boat excursion from the port of Sapri.

Wine Tasting

A day in a beautiful vineyard overlooking the sea to discover all the secrets of wine. Tasting of the winery's finest wines is a MUST. Depending on the period, it is also possible to participate in the grape harvest!

Cooking Lesson

An elderly Cilento woman will teach us all the secrets of homemade pasta and fried pizza. An experience you will never forget!

Kayak - James Bond Experience

The first and last scenes of "No time to die," the 25th film about the world's most famous secret agent, were filmed along our coast. With the James Bond Tour we will explore and immerse ourselves in the places and waters where the film was set.

Cilento ZIp Line

You will fly suspended in the air hanging from a steel cable with magnificent views spanning the Gulf of Salerno, the Amalfi Coast, the Island of Capri, and of course the Cilento Coast.

Shopping

Villammare - Our little village! Waterfront pizzerias, bars, and restaurants. Sapri - Sapri is the largest town nearby, reachable in 5 minutes by car, 20 minutes on foot. There are stores, restaurants, and bars. Salerno - The largest city nearby Le Rave Bianche is Salerno, reachable within an hour by train. The station is right in the center of the city. A long street full of stores and restaurants starts from there. From Salerno, with a one-hour ferry ride, it is possible to reach the Amalfi Coast. Maratea - Visit the famous Statue of Christ the Redeemer.

Caves of Pertosa-Auletta

One of the most important geosites in the Cilento National Park as they have two unique features: They are the only caves in Italy where it is possible to navigate an underground river, the Negro; but they are also the only ones in Europe to preserve the remains of a pile-dwelling village dating back to the 2nd millennium BC.

WWF Oasis Bussento Caves in Morigerati

Take a beautiful walk along a canyon.

Cascate Capelli Di Venere Oasis in Casaletto Spartano

In Casaletto Spartano, in the hinterland of the Gulf of Policastro, there is a place where the flow of water has created a natural spectacle that seems straight out of a storybook. These are the Capelli di Venere (Venus's Hair), a waterfall rising from the waters of the Rio Bussentino, so called because of the luxuriant fern called 'capelvenere' that lives attached to the rock.

Charterhouse of San Lorenzo in Padula

The Charterhouse of San Lorenzo is a former monastery, now one of the largest monumental complexes in southern Italy, a UNESCO heritage site and one of the largest in Europe.

The Archaeological Excavations of Paestum

The Temples of Paestum are among the best-preserved temples of Ancient Greece in the world. After the visit, it is recommend to have a Mozzarella tasting. The most interesting dairies: Tenuta Vannulo, Il Granato, Barlotti, La Dispensa di San Salvatore.

For all the days along the way
