If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Yes, the wedding attire is Black Tie. Men are not required to wear Tuxedos, but we think that suit and gown/cocktail dress attire is fitting for the manor setting :)
The "Afters" at Irish weddings refers to the period of time after dinner until the venue closes, at which point the venue is open to additional guests for drinks and dancing. Our wedding ceremony and dinner is intended to be a very intimate affair, and therefore we have kept the guestlist small. However, if you are traveling with friends/family, we would be happy to have them at the afters which will begin at 11pm. Please let me know if you have guests who will attend the afters.
In Ireland, most wedding venues do not allow open bar. The reasons for this are many, but ultimately, in Ireland, there would quite literally be no alcohol left at the bar! But on a serious note, the wedding event is simply too long for it to be a safe option. As in American weddings, there will be a champagne reception, and open wine pour throughout dinner (approx 10pm). After dinner, begins the cash bar. The venue requested that we make this known to our American guests, to avoid any awkward situations on the night!
Yes, there will be a shuttle bus operating to and from the wedding venue. Please see Schedule of Events for more information.
Easy! Just let Kristina or Joe know, and they will make sure that a family member will drive you. Conveniently a bus goes from Bantry to Cork City twice daily for those who need to get back to the airport.
