Michelle Weidner

Maid of Honor

To know Michelle, is to love Michelle. Her energy, passion for life, and ability to connect with others are unmatched. As fate would have it, Michelle and I were assigned seats next to each other in Biology lab, at the University of Portland, our sophomore year. The class ended with Michelle inviting me to the Adidas ES. A few weeks later, Michelle stumbled by me in a bright blue dress at a big school-wide Dance of the Decades. She shouted out that she loved me, and I have never once looked back. She is always down to have a good time and go on any adventure that comes to my mind. Michelle is now working as an occupational therapist, working in both adult and pediatric units, in the Portland-metro area.

Austin Loders

Best Man

Austin rightfully deserves the title of “best man” at our wedding due to our lifelong best friend friendship. Austin and I met in kinder garden and grew up only a mile apart from each other. Ever since we met, we were inseparable- playing sports together and always hanging out together. Austin and I went separate ways for college but were still able to maintain a close friendship. After college, we were roommates for a year in North Portland. You could find us exploring new breweries, hitting the slopes and gym, and traveling throughout the PNW. Austin was the first friend to travel abroad with me- we traveled throughout Germany and Austria, and even ended up at Oktoberfest in Munich for two days. Austin is now a homeowner in SE Portland and is working for a health care company.

Alexi Meuwissen

Bridesmaid

When Dexter and I first started talking, he went on and on about how protective his older sister Alexi was over her baby brother and the importance of gaining her approval. So, you could say I was pretty nervous the first time we met. However, I soon came to realize our shared love and desire for Dexter to be truly happy. Alexi really is the cool older sister; she is fun, charismatic, creative and tender-hearted. She currently works as the director of marketing for Scott Edwards Architecture and enjoys time with her husband, Tyler, and two sweet boys, Beckham and Aiden. One of the many things that excited me about marrying Dexter is that I will finally have a sister!

Tyler Meuwissen

Groomsman

Tyler, AKA the brother in law has been apart of my life since I was 16, when he started dating my sister. We have been able to spend a lot of time together during family gatherings, hunting trips, vacations, and many other activities. One of the things I love about Tyler is that he may seem shy when you first meet him, but after a couple of cocktails he’ll be one of the most enthusiastic and friendly people you will meet. One of the things that I appreciate about Tyler is how well he loves my sister, and how good of a dad he is to my two beautiful nephews. I truly enjoy continuing to see our friendship develop further as we get older, and for more opportunities to hangout outside of family settings.

Ashlyn Kawasaki

Bridesmaid

Widely known as "Mama", due to her caring, loving and protective ways and always being prepared with plenty of snacks. Mama and I met at the University of Portland. When we weren't occupied with our biology studies, you could find us frequenting local coffee shops or Portland's best foodie spots, teaming up for Beer Pong, and never missing a $2 Tuesday at the local dive bar, otherwise known as the T-Room. Since graduating, we have maintained a long-distance friendship, as Mama returned home to Hawaii and I stayed behind in Oregon. She is my go-to friend for all fashion advice and can always make me laugh with her witty and sassy remarks. Mama recently returned to the mainland and is starting her doctorate program in PT. I am secretly hoping she decides to move back to Oregon!

Bryan Moran

Groomsman

Bryan and I go a long way back and could write a book with all the crazy times we have had together. We first met in middle school playing football. He went to Gordon Russel and I went to Damascus, so we were competitors back in the day. Luckily, we became teammates in high school and then both ended up down in Corvallis for college. We were freshman roommates and explored the craziness of college together. We joined the same fraternity and lived together in the house throughout college as well as in North Portland for 3 years after graduation. We spent our time exploring through Portland, checking out new breweries, snowboarding, and enjoying some quality bro time together reminiscing the glory days. Bryan is now working for a logistics company doing freight brokerage.

Cassidy McCartney

Bridesmaid

Cassidy and I met via mutual friends in The Cove, at the University of Portland, our freshman year but never talked after that. When she returned to campus Junior year after her yearlong study abroad program, we found ourselves in multiple classes together. Cassidy and I bonded over our shared love for country music and iced cold beer. She is one of those people that I could have fun doing just about anything with, and she quickly became one of my best friends. After graduation, we somehow survived attending Watershed together and then both ended up down in Corvallis for more school! Cassidy is genuine, thoughtful and fun-loving. She recently moved to Arizona with her adorable dog, Porter, and is working as a veterinarian at a local pet hospital.

Josh Nine

Groomsman

Josh, the newly married man! Josh and I met in college our freshman year at OSU. Josh and I both joined the same fraternity spring of our freshman year. Josh and my friendship started to grow our freshman year at the fraternity and continued throughout our fraternity adventures. Josh and I both moved in together after college and lived together for two years in North Portland. During that time, we spent our time exploring through Portland, golfing, and enjoying shenanigans with our friends at the house. Josh is not only a good friend, but he is a very kindhearted person that cares so much about the close people in his life, and I truly admire that about him. Josh is now working for a sales company in Portland. I cannot wait to have him stand by my side as I also become a married man.

Hannah Green

Bridesmaid

Hannah is one of the sweetest girls you will meet! She goes out of her way to make you feel heard and important- she is the friend we all want and deserve. Hannah and I never actually went to school together. She transferred from Westside Christian High School the year that I transferred in. I became friends with the group of girls Hannah had hung around with when she was there, and we were "forced" to hang out by way of our mutual friends. Over time, Hannah has become one of my closest friends and a true confidant. She currently works as a counselor and is married to the wonderful Lucian Green! Fun fact, Hannah and Lucian were married at Bridal Veil, and after their wedding I knew one day I would also be married there.

Tanner Woods

Groomsman

Tanner, aka "T-woody" has been a long-time best friend of mine. We first met in middle school playing baseball. Over the years, we spent a lot of time together snowboarding up on Mt. Hood, trying out new tricks, finding new things to do backflips off, and enjoying our time together. During the summers after high school, Tanner and I worked together doing carpentry work and were able to maintain a close relationship throughout my time at college. Tanner would come down to OSU regularly (Go Beavs!). Tanner and I are also able to share a mutual passion of hunting, we have been able to go on multiple hunting trips together. Tanner is now working as a foreman and is a local homeowner. Tanner is also getting married in the summer of 2020 and I am honored to be apart of his wedding as well.

Thuy Tran

Groomsman

I want to start this one off by stating that Thuy is one of the most genuine people I have ever met in my life. We met Freshman year of college. We joined the same fraternity and our friendship continued to grow while living in the fraternity together- making memories I will never forget. Thuy and I both got our degrees in business, so we were able to work together and stay close during our academic studies. After college, Thuy and I lived together for two years in North Portland. We traveled together down to Colombia, a trip I will never forget. Thuy is now working for marketing company and manages their social media marketing department. You can find Thuy and I exploring new places to eat throughout Portland, watching new movies, and exploring new areas throughout the city.
