If you're from Houston you know when winter transitions into spring as Rodeo Season. Rodeo Season in 2018 just happen to be the best one ever! Chris Young was playing on a beautiful Friday night. Colton and Kristina both happened to have tickets but had not met yet. Kristina went with a group of friends and as tradition enjoyed the wine garden prior to going into the concert. After the concert her group of friends rejoined together right outside of the wine garden gates. Anddd that's where they officially met <3 After meeting each other and a few laughs C and K went on their way with their friends. Colton remembers Kristina telling him his eyes were pretty before they said goodnight. Before they separated, Colton made Kristina agree to meet him the next day. Kristina was sort of reluctant, but thanks to Shelby, she eventually made good on her promise to meet Colton--Shelby reminded her that "he was pretty tall". They met at Kirby Icehouse the next day and even brought their pups to meet as well. The rest is history.

Kristina woke up Friday, July 12th the same time as any work day. Something was different that day though. Colton was in the room holding a Champagne bottle and asked Kristina what her favorite sound was. He proceeded to pop the champagne bottle at 7am. The second thing that was off was Colton telling Kristina to make sure she hurried and got ready, because they both had a flight to catch. He also informed her that she wasn't going to work that day, and that his brother Leo would be by the place in about an hour to drive both of them to the airport. Kristina already had a bag packed for the beach, as she had expected to leave a bit early from work that day to head down to Galveston with Colton's family for the weekend. The beach they would actually go to that day was just a bit farther south... In a fun day of travel, Kristina learned where Montego Bay was, and they both landed safely in Jamaica around 1 o'clock without any delays or setbacks. The weather was beautiful, and after getting to their resort, they immediately grabbed a few drinks and headed down to the beach. In beautiful Montego Bay, they both spent the day swimming in crystal clear water, sipping beers, and relaxing with the warm smooth sand in their toes. By the time they got tired of the sun, they both agreed to get changed in their room and go to dinner. When they got to dinner, they ordered some drinks and began talking. They were sitting on an ocean patio overlooking the palm trees, the beach and the bay next to their table with a bright orange sun setting. Without waiting any longer, Colton told Kristina that he had something important to tell her. Confused, Kristina nervously nodded her head, and he started reciting his "10 things I love about Kristina" piece he had wrote days before in preparation of this moment. When he finished he got up from his chair, kneeled down next to her and asked," Kristina Anita Droz, will you marry me?" She responded starting to cry, "yes of course"
