We Are Getting Married!

We met at Barrelhouse in Champaign, IL after meeting each other online. We were initially supposed to meet the week prior. However, Dan's nerves got the best of him and he was worried that he would be "catfished," so he rescheduled. There was an instant connection where the conversation just flowed and each other's presence made the other feel comfortable. We didn't know it then but, that was our last first date. :)

Dan planned and coordinated the proposal for months. He had Kristie go with her friend to get her nails done the afternoon of March 9th. When she got out of the salon, two more friends were waiting in the car with the first clue. This is when Kristie realized something was up. The first clue led her to her old apartment, where Dan first met several of her friends. Two of those friends were waiting outside with the next clue. She was then led to the restaurant where their parents met each other for the first time. Both sets of parents were anxiously waiting there with the third clue. The third clue led her to the restaurant where Dan says they had their first date. A crew of Dan's friends and family were waiting there with the final clue. The final clue led her to the place where they first met. Dan was waiting there with everyone who was involved that day. He got down on one knee, Kristie ugly cried, and the start of forever started in that moment.
