FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kristie Schneider and Blake Hettiger
Question

Is there parking at the Scandinavian Centre?

Answer

Unfortunately, parking is limited as the Scandinavian Centre is located in one of Calgary's inner city neighbourhoods. Consider taking a taxi or ride share and please find a safe way home.

Question

What time does this thing end?

Answer

Last call for alcohol is at 11:30pm and the last song is at 11:45pm. City of Calgary bylaws stipulate that music must be turned off by 12am. Lame, I know.

Question

Is it a cash bar?

Answer

At 9pm, it will be a cash bar. Drinks will be $5 each and we will take care of tipping the amazing bartenders. Please bring cash! And by cash we mean a stack of $5s and $10s. Start saving your small bills in a jar because if you show up with C-Notes, you will be buying ALOT of drinks for your friends. And if you don't have cash, you have to pay for your drinks by helping clean up at the end of the night.

Question

What the heck is funky formal?

Answer

Come dressed to impress! Bright, bold colours, artistic prints, and vibrant patterns are encouraged. Consider velvet, silk, feathers, sequins, or metallics. Patterned suits, coloured blazers, or tailored suits with, say, a fun shirt or bold accessories. We want our wedding to be fun, filled with joy and for everyone to look and feel their best.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you enjoy an “unplugged” ceremony and keep phones and cameras tucked away while we say our vows. Our photographer will be capturing the moment from every angle, and we promise to share lots of beautiful photos with you afterward. More importantly, it means the world to us to look out and see the faces of the people we love. Thank you for being fully present with us in this moment.

Question

What are the dance floor rules?

Answer

The dance floor should be occupied at all times. 'Dance offs' should take place where appropriate and often. Playing the air guitar is encouraged. All styles and talents are welcome.

Question

Not a question, but a Thank You.

Answer

Thank you for celebrating with us. But most of all, thank you for the support, encouragement, love and laughter you have contributed to our lives. You are our favourite people in the world! We are forever grateful. With love, The Newlyweds
