Maid of Honor
Tana and I met in the dorms though we didn't get to know one another until a mutual friend wanted to live with us both. Tana and I hit it off watching movies, "studying" at the CUB, laughing at our own jokes, etc. She is someone who keeps it real but always makes me smile. Even after college we kept in touch and met up when we could. Luckily, Tana and her family recently relocated back to the great northwest, just in time for the wedding!
Best Man
Jeff is Nathan's cousin who is the closest in age. Though Nathan is the oldest cousin on both sides, he grew close with Jeff. Their adventurous personalities, love for the outdoors, and willingness to try anything to have fun have brought them together.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey is a friend from college. We met while taking an English course at WSU during an ice breaker activity. We became instant friends, creating our first inside joke that day. Kelsey and I lived on the same floor in the dorms as freshmen and sophmore year we lived in house. We also spent two summers working as baristas on Blakely Island. We have had quite a fun time laughing at our own jokes, making new memories, and of course sharing our love for the wazzu cougs! Kelsey has been a very close friend from the start.
Groomsman
Eric and Nathan went to the same high school, but became friends after. Eric and Nathan used to spend more time together before I came along, grabbing a beer, talking shop, etc. Though they don't see each other that often, they remain close.
Bridesmaid
Kathy is one of my cousins and practically a sister. Though she is five years older than me, she and I have always had a close relationship. My fondest memories are of her and her sister fighting in a restaurant over who was going to do my hair. I loved being their dress up doll. As I grew older, Kathy and I grew closer as she was my confidant and someone who would give advice to a young woman. Kathy and I were able to be roommates when I worked in western Washington for a year.
Groomsman
Stephen is Nathan's youngest brother. Though Stephen does not live close, we see him every once in a while at family gatherings. Before I officially met Stephen, I was invited to a wedding and I brought my new boyfriend, Nathan, along as my date. We were at the wedding and realized Stephen was the best man!
Bridesmaid
Shalea is a close friend who I have known for a long time. She started as one of my brother's friends and then became a very close friend of mine. We were introduced by her husband and from then on, we were almost inseparable. She and I were able to hang out more after college and really have girl time. We would make desserts, watch movies, and cuddle up by the fire. We could spend all day relaxing in the living room, chatting about life.
Groomsman
Dan is my brother. (Let's face it, you all know Kristi is the one filling this out, not Nate!!) For those who may not know me well, my brother is my biggest role model. We are very close and though we both keep busy with active lives of school, running, travel, and friends, he and I will spend hours catching up on life. Yes, when I was little he tried to throw a Tonka Truck at me, but he just wanted to play with his little sister. He has pushed me to be the person I am today and for that, I am grateful!
Bridesmaid
Melissa is a friend from high school who I met through my brother. One night, I was driving my brother's friends home and Melissa called shot gun. We chatted up until I dropped her off at home. About a week later, we were completing each other's sentences. She is a close friend with whom I have many laughs, jokes, go on walks, or we just create our own adventures.
Groomsman
Cody and Nate have known each other since high school. I know they have so many memories and stories together that I do not even know. So, from my point of view, Nate brought me over to 'get approval' from his friends, The Clappers. Well, they liked me so here we are. Since then we have hung out, went on double dates, and watched the Cougs.
