Swift Run Gap is just up the road from the Golden Horseshoe Inn in Stanardsville. This is a public entrance to Shenandoah National Park, which offers lots of hiking and picturesque views. If hiking isn't your thing, but you still want to see some gorgeous views, you can drive along Skyline Drive. There is a fee to enter the park, $30 per vehicle, which is good for 7 days-- so grab your friends, and take a car up there.
The Historic Downtown Mall in Charlottesville is about 40 minutes from the Golden Horseshoe Inn. This is a pedestrian mall with street parking as well as paid parking garages, and the mall has many unique stores and restaurants. Kristi and Don have walked the dogs along the mall, never forgetting to stop at Pawprints Boutique to get a puppy ice cream for each of the goonhounds. The Nook has a great breakfast menu, and if it's chilly, you can warm up for a walk on the mall by getting a warm tea from Twisted Tea Bazaar.

If you're looking to drop-in to a box while you're in town, Solidarity CrossFit is one of two gyms in town. You'll likely find Kristi and Don there the day before the wedding, getting one last WOD (workout of the day) in. With CrossFit being so integral to this relationship, they just couldn't leave their box off the "Things to Do" list.
