Question

Where do we go when we get to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at a public park area called the Lake Hefner Lighthouse. It is open to the public therefore there will be no seating. It will be standing only. Please gather around the lighthouse by 7:15 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m.

How long will the ceremony last?

Answer

Because we chose a private ceremony with our closest friends and family, it will not be a traditional ceremony. We anticipate the ceremony will not last longer than 30 minutes with a balloon release immediately following.

Will there be a cash bar at the reception?

Answer

So to speak, yes. We are having our reception at Mama Rojas - a Mexican Restaurant near to the ceremony location. We are providing margaritas and food. However, if you prefer something other than that, there is a full bar at the restaurant and you are welcome to purchase your own drinks.

Can we take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

While we want you to be able to capture moments that are important to you, we will also have a professional photographer. However, due to the space restrictions around the lighthouse, please be respectful of her space while she is taking pictures. We would REALLY appreciate it.

In the itinerary, you mention Balloon Release. How do we get the Balloons?

Answer

Someone will be passing out the balloons prior to the ceremony release unless the weather restricts us from doing this (i.e. wind, rain). If so, we will do a GIFT BOX BALLOON RELEASE instead and they will all be released from a box at one time. The balloon release will be right after the Pastor introduces us as Mr. and Mrs. Wells. It signifies "letting go" of what was and looking forward to new beginnings...as a new couple.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

Answer

If it begins to rain, we will move the ceremony to 8:00 p.m. and hold it in the reception area at Mama Rojas. Watch the Facebook Event Page and/or website for updated information. We will be watching the weather and send updates as necessary.

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?

Answer

It will be HIGH of 50/ LOWs in the 20's - WINDS up to 20-30 mph. BRING A JACKET OR SWEATER...
