My younger cousin, but somehow always the wiser one. God knew we couldn’t be sisters, so He gave me the next best thing, a cousin who would become my sister in every way that matters. We grew up like sisters, sharing so much of life together, and you’ve always been someone who understands me, my life, and everything I’ve been through in a way that few people ever could. You are my safe place, someone I trust with my heart and with the parts of me I don’t share with everyone. Watching you love Eliana as her godmother makes me so grateful. You are strong, determined, intelligent, and so beautifully sure of who you are. I’ve always admired your confidence, your sense of self, and the way you stand firmly in your decisions. I can only hope that as Eliana grows, she becomes even a little like you. God gave me the gift of your love, and I’ll forever be grateful that He made you my cousin but chose for you to become my sister. I couldn’t imagine this day, or my life, without you by my side.

My cousin, my best friend, and truly one of the most important people in my life. We’ve shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, tears, and growing up together, but somewhere along the way, you became so much more than my cousin, you became my person. You’re my confidant, my safe place, my unofficial therapist, and the one person I can come to with absolutely anything. You’ve seen me at my highest and my lowest and have loved me through every version of myself. You have always been a light, the kind of person who walks into a room and naturally makes it brighter, commanding attention without ever having to ask for it. Your presence is magnetic, your heart is huge, and there’s something about you that makes the people around you feel seen and loved. Watching you love Kaleb as his godmother has shown me just how special your heart truly is. I truly believe God knew exactly what He was doing when He gave me you not just as my cousin, but as my best friend, my family, and my person. There is no one else I would want to stand beside me as I marry the love of my life and begin this next chapter.

My best friend since middle school, all the way back to 2008. We’ve grown up together, changed together, and shared so many chapters of life that it’s hard to imagine my story without her in it. Watching her become the incredible woman, doctor, and mother she is today has made me so unbelievably proud. She’s someone I admire deeply, not only for everything she’s accomplished, but for the beautiful, funny, caring person she is at heart. She’s the friend I can always turn to for advice, especially when Google isn’t cutting it, and I know she’ll always be there with wisdom, honesty, and love. After all these years, having her stand beside me on one of the biggest days of my life feels like the most natural thing in the world. I’m so lucky to call her my friend.

My best friend since high school and one of the few people who just gets me on a different level. From growing up together to now navigating motherhood side by side, our friendship has only grown deeper. We’ve shared so many versions of life together, and somehow, no matter how much life changes, she has always felt like home. She is the kind of person who will pour into your cup even when she barely has anything left in hers. She loves deeply, shows up wholeheartedly, and gives so much of herself to the people she loves. I’ve always admired her energy, her dedication, and the way she loves people with her whole heart. Now, watching our kids grow up together like cousins makes our friendship feel even more like family. Some friendships are meant to grow with you through every season, and she is one of those people I know I’ll always have beside me. I couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without her there, cheering me on just as she always has.

My college best friend and someone I instantly clicked with from the very beginning. She’s silly, sweet, incredibly smart, and has a heart that makes everyone around her feel loved. She’s always been the life of the party, but somehow also the person who can make anyone feel comfortable, welcomed, and completely at home in her presence. She’s an old soul with a warmth about her that is truly rare. She brings out the very best in me, and her kindness in friendship is something I’ll never take for granted. She’s the kind of person who would do just about anything for the people she loves, and she has always had a way of making me laugh until I can barely breathe. Now, as we navigate motherhood from different cities, I’m reminded that distance and life changes could never take away the connection we’ve always had. Some friendships simply grow with you through every season, and Tamara is one of those gifts I’ll always be grateful for. I couldn’t imagine this day without my girl standing beside me.

My bestie, my free-spirited girly, and one of the people who has known me through so many different versions of myself. We met in college when we were young, carefree, and had absolutely no responsibilities. Yet somehow managed to make some of the funniest, craziest, and most unforgettable memories together. She just gets me. Our humor, our loyalty, and all the little things that make our friendship ours. She has this incredible ability to make absolutely anything a good time, and even on my worst days, she can make me laugh until my stomach hurts with all our crazy accents. She reminds me not to take life too seriously and to always find the fun in it. But one of the things I admire most about her is watching her journey toward Christ. It’s beautiful to see the woman she is becoming and the way her faith continues to shape her heart and her life. From our wild, carefree college days to this beautiful season of life, I’m so grateful God gave me a friend like her. My free spirit, my laughter, my girl, I wouldn’t want to walk into this next chapter without you by my side.
