We're getting married!

Kristen: Our story began at the end of 2016 at a restaurant in Decatur, called Kitchen Six. The first time I saw Wes, he pulled up to work in his white mustang and parked right next to me. He got out of his car before me and walked inside. He seriously was the most handsome man I had ever seen. I was so nervous to go inside, and I remember telling Sandmann (best friend and boss at the time) "Thank you for hiring this man". He wasn't only handsome, he was hilarious. I couldn't wait until we worked together each shift. I waited for weeks for him to ask me on a date, but he never did. I ended up being the one to ask him. It turns out he was the shy one! We went out that same night. My mom was waiting up for me when Wes brought me home. The first thing I said to her was, “I’ve found the one”! Wes: Our first date was at a very classy place filled with cheap beer and cigarette smoke. We had a few drinks and shot a few games of pool. I’m pretty sure that she ended up beating me every time that night, and since. I learned at the very start that this girl is competitive. When we talked, the conversation was so easy and natural. I can’t really remember any awkward moments. Everything seemed perfect. I knew from the start that this was something special. A couple of drinks, and an Irish car bomb later, I dropped her off. I couldn’t wait to see her again.

We both knew we wanted a big family together and we didn't waste any time. Our son, Levi, was born on November 17, 2017.
