Zuma Beach
Malibu has some of our favorite beaches! Zuma beach and Point Dume are among some favorites. Parking on weekends is wild, but if you go before 9am (which might be gloomy), or after 4pm you'll probably get a spot pretty easily.
The Getty Museum
The Getty is a wonderful and free museum open to the public. There is food on site, gardens, rotating exhibits, and panoramic views of the city. Parking is $25 before 3pm, and $15 after 3pm.
Laidrey Coffee Roasters
One of our favorite local coffee shops! The house made bread makes their breakfast sandwich pretty bomb.
Griffith Observatory
Another wonderful and free activity. Weekends get very busy, so we would recommend going later in the evening, or right when they open if you cant go on a weekday. They have events throughout the day too :)
Aroma Coffee & Tea Co
An industry favorite meeting spot! Great for breakfast, lunch and a hang.
Malibu Creek State Park (Family-Friendly Hike)
An easy hike for the outdoorsy folks! Also, a favorite local climbing crag.

THE BEST Taiwanese food you can get in LA (sister of Pine and Crane): A must order: Shrimp Wontons, Clamshell Bun, Thousand Layer Pancake and Hakka Mochi Highland park is a great place to get some East LA city vibes...Tons of food, coffee and thrift shops to fill up your day.
Aunt Yvette’s Kitchen
THE BEST Ethiopian food! A super classy place to get some AMAZING food! A must order: Veggie platter, fried trout, hibiscus tea This is a small place and they rarely have room for walk ins... would recommend reserving on the link.
The Groundlings Theatre & School (Comedy Show)
The Groundings is an improv theater that has shows nearly every night! A lot of the actors from SNL come from this theater school so it's in that vein of humor (adults only). Before or after we would recommend going to TONCHIN ramen for a quick bite.

Joshua Tree National Park
If you're willing to make the trek and have time, Joshua Tree is a magical place! Check the weather before, but if it's not in the 90's, it's a beautiful place to explore. You can drive into Hidden Valley campground and snag a spot on a weekday (first come, first serve) easily.
