What part of the city should I stay in?

Answer

Los Angeles is HUGE! Here are some recommendations, but be prepared to drive if you go a bit further. The Valley (close by us): Woodland Hills, Topanga Canyon, Reseda, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Studio City. Near the beach: Malibu, Santa Monica Cool, but far (45+ min drive): Los Feliz, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Pasadena.

The FlyAway Bus

Answer

The FlyAway bus provides a ride ($12.75) from LAX to VAN NUYS or UNION STATION. It's great if you are meeting someone who can pick you up from those bus station. *Pro Tip*: if you take the bus FROM LAX, walk to terminals 1-4 to ensure you get a seat. The bus fills up and you could be waiting a while if you're in terminal 7.
