Question

What is the wedding timeline?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at 4:00. Please plan to arrive at least 15-30 minutes early. This should give you enough time to park and find your seat. There is only one path to where the ceremony will be held and it is the same aisle as the bridal party walks down. Should you arrive after 4:00 pm, there are benches on the outskirts of the outdoor area to enjoy the ceremony. If there is inclement weather, the wedding will move indoors. If this is the case please refrain from joining the ceremony late and join the party at cocktail hour. Immediately following the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour followed by the reception at 5:30. The party will come to a close at 10 pm.

Question

Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The plan for the ceremony is outdoor, with subsequent indoor/outdoor reception. However, April is an unpredictable month for weather so if it rains, the venue will shift to all events being held indoors.

Question

Is there parking on site?

Answer

Yes! There is parking on site at the venue. For out of town guests, the room block hotel has a shuttle to and from the venue.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Plan to dress in dressy-casual. For women: a cocktail dress, sundress or dressy top and bottoms with nice shoes or boots. For men: dress shirt with slacks or nice jeans with optional tie, blazer, and/or sport coat, boots or dress shoes. Never forget that Texas weather can be fickle. It could be 95 and sunny, it could be raining, or we can have beautiful spring weather so keep an eye on the weather and plan accordingly. Friendly reminder that only the bride should be in white.

Question

What if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! Kindly decline on the RSVP as soon as possible so we can consider your absence in our final head count.

Question

What if I can only make the ceremony and not the reception or visa versa?

Answer

It’s totally ok if you are only able to join for a portion of our celebration. We just ask that you let us know ahead of time what parts you can/cannot make when RSVP-ing.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to keeping to a certain headcount, any plus ones will be added to your invitation. Please understand that this was determined when your save the date went out so any plus ones not added to that will not be considered. If there is not a plus one listed on your invitation, please do not bring a plus one that is unaccounted for, as we will not have a seat or food for them at the reception. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love all of your kiddos, due to keeping to a certain guest count, we are allowing family only to bring children and they will be listed on the invitation. For any friends joining our celebration, please find a sitter for the evening for your kiddos.

Question

Are pets allowed?

Answer

As much as we LOVE furry friends, unfortunately no pets. Please plan to make other arrangements for your fur-baby for this event.

Question

Where should I stay for the weekend?

Answer

We have a block of rooms at The Hampton Inn & Suites McKinney for April 26th-April 28th. The room rate is $129/night. YOU MUST BOOK YOUR ROOM BY MARCH 31ST in order to take advantage of the blocked room rate. Any rooms booked after that will be subject to standard nightly rates. To reserve your room, please call the hotel at (972) 542-6622 and let them know you’d like to reserve for the Gathright/Zamudio wedding. There will also be a shuttle that will take guests to and from the venue so you will not need to worry about driving. However, the shuttle will take all passengers at once to the venue, and remain at the venue until the end of the night. If you plan to arrive late or leave early, please plan to drive yourself to the venue.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

While we know everyone will be excited to capture those “I do” moments, our ceremony will be unplugged as we have a wonderful photographer who will capture these moments for all of us. You are welcome to take photos throughout the cocktail hour and reception but please refrain from taking any photos during the ceremony.

Question

What is the bar situation?

Answer

We are planning to do an open bar with beer, wine, and select liquor and mixers. However, please consider your transportation plans accordingly, as the venue is in the country. Side note: this venue does have a “no shot” policy due to the distance from town. There is no charge for alcohol for guests, but if you’re looking to feel extra tipsy, there will be a tip jar for your bartender for encouragement.

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

We are not doing a traditional registration and would love if you are able to contribute to our honeymoon fund under our registry to help us have an unforgettable honeymoon to make lifelong memories!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

RSVP instructions will be included on the formal invitations to follow. Please be sure to RSVP no later than the date on the invitation.

Question

What will the food situation be?

Answer

We will have snacks during cocktail hour and pizza for the ceremony. Please contact Kristen for any food allergies/dietary restrictions.
