FAQs

Question

Am I invited to all of the events? Am I just invited to the reception?

Answer

Unfortunately, we were unable to invite all of our wonderful guests to the dinner and ceremony due to venue restrictions. We've prioritized including guests traveling from far distances and close family for these parts of the festivities. If your invitation only mentions the reception, please plan to join us at 7:30 pm at the Orangerie when we kick off the dancing. We will also have finger foods and dessert for you. If, for some reason, you are unable to RSVP for the campground day and would like to come, please text (801) 599-8298, and we will get you added.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We respectfully request no children. Kids will be welcome at the optional “welcome event” on Thursday and at the campground gathering the day after. If you run into childcare issues, please let us know. We may be able to make an exception or help you locate a sitter we know personally.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have a bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event. Please drink responsibly, and do not attempt to drink and drive. Please note that the drunk driving limit is .04%.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included for the ceremony and dinner. Thank you for understanding! If you’d like to bring an extra person to the welcome drinks, reception, or day after celebration, or the afterparty, please just ask us!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions! Please ensure you let us know in advance.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we have a wedding registry! You can find all the details on the Registry page of our website!

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

You will use this website to RSVP. We ask that you please submit your RSVP by June 15.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available at the venue entrance

Question

What is the dress code? I am confused by Garden Formal.

Answer

Our wedding dress code is essentially "formal". For women, this means a long dress or a formal midi-dress, and for men, a suit and tie are appropriate. Please do not wear a white suit or dress. The "garden" aspect of the wedding code is simply to imply that the dress code is a bit looser than traditional "formal" due to the warm weather. It is also to inspire our guests to wear joyful patterns and colors. With all of this being said, please do not feel you need to buy a special dress for the occasion!

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

A rental car isn't necessary to get to any of the festivities. Ubers, taxis, and public transportation are available. You may, however, opt into having a rental car if you want maximum flexibility.

Question

Do I need to wear a suit?

Answer

Yes. Guests are requested to wear suits. Any color is welcome, except white. Lightweight fabrics are welcome for comfort in warm weather. You may be thankful you have it, as Utah is known for over-air-conditioning. Temperatures will also drop quickly at sunset.

Question

What color is the wedding party wearing?

Answer

If you’d like to avoid wearing the same color as the wedding party, we’ve included descriptions below. That said, we don’t want our guests to be concerned over matching them. Men: light navy suits and a light blueish/purple tie. Women: blueish/purple dresses of multiple shades.

Question

Will the event be outdoors? What will you do about the heat?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors in the shade. Cold water and fans will be provided. Guests can remove suit jackets if needed. The cocktail hour will be hosted primarily outside in the shade. Guests will have access to an indoor and air-conditioned space. Dinner will be indoors and air-conditioned. It can be chilly, so bring a shawl or jacket. The reception will be indoor/outdoor in the shade. Desert/mountain temps drop quickly. Please bring a shawl or a jacket.
