Description: With so many of you traveling from out of town, we'd love to welcome you into SLC and kick off the weekend together. Join us for drinks at the bar inside Little America — come for one, stay for a few, or skip it entirely; attendance is completely optional. Details: There will be a cash bar. Families with children will need to get a table in the restaurant area, but will still be able to mingle. Attire: Dressy-casual (e.g., nice shirt and pants, sundresses, golf shirts).
5:00 pm - 7:15 pm
Description: The wedding party, family, and out-of-town guests will join us for the ceremony and for dinner. Your final invitation (not your save-the-date) will clarify whether your attendance is requested for this. Attire: Formal Garden Party. Elegant, outdoor-friendly attire for warm weather. We kindly request that guests wear midi or maxi dresses or a suit in any color (other than white). You are welcome to remove your jacket throughout the evening. Linen suits and shirts work great too. 4:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Description: If you'd like to stick around, we'll be hosting a casual afternoon/evening at a campground up the famous Big Cottonwood Canyon. The canyon is where Kristen grew up biking, skiing, hiking, and rock climbing, and it's a place we still spend a lot of time together. This is entirely optional! Just for those who want to spend a little extra time together.
Activities: Food, cold beers, games, crafts, music, and a bonfire. For the adventurous, there's a 3-mile round-trip hike to Donut Falls. Come and go as you please! Driving There: Park at the Donut Falls trailhead which is just off of the right side of the street at the address listed above. After you park, follow the signs to Jordan Pines Campground. Guests with limited mobility can drive directly to the campground. If you have time for a scenic detour, continue up the canyon to Brighton Ski Resort. Getting There by Taxi: We'll help group people together to share a taxi. Let us know you're interested, and we'll coordinate. Taxis are booked through (801) 521-2100, with a flat rate of $120 per car (up to 7 passengers) — about $17 per person in a full car. Attire: Casual, comfortable clothing. Workout clothes are good. Bring a jacket.
