Kristen met Margie during her time at Grand Valley State University, where they were basically roommates for 3 years, spending endless amounts of time together. Between late-night ice cream runs, coffee shop study sessions, and surviving the College of Education together, Margie became one of the best things GVSU gave Kristen.

Kristen met Lexi while working at summer camp, the same one where she met Joey. Their relationship grew beyond work, especially through countless double dates with Lexi and Gio. Lexi is fiercely loyal and brings the energy wherever she goes. Kristen is grateful for how Lexi pushes her out of her comfort zone and brings so much joy to her life.

Maddy has been part of Kristen's life since they were toddlers and was her very first friend. Despite going to different schools, their bond never faded and only grew stronger over the years. Maddy has been there through every season of life and is truly like a sister to Kristen.

Kristen met Aynslee at work, where they bonded over teaching, gossiping, and puzzling. It feels like Kristen has known Aynslee forever, even though they only met last year. Aynslee is a wonderful friend who is always there for Kristen. Kristen is thankful for her sense of humor, boldness, and ability to connect with anyone.

Katie was the first friend Kristen made at GVSU, and the two instantly connected over their introverted nature. Together, they survived freshman year and their Honors course. Katie introduced Kristen to the rest of their close-knit group and has always been her go-to for advice and support. They truly understand each other.

Kristen met Amrutha during her freshman year at GVSU, and from that point on, things got a lot more fun. Amrutha is the life of the party and the reason behind so many unforgettable college memories. Just as importantly, she is always there for deep conversations and heart-to-hearts. She is an irreplaceable part of Kristen's life.

Steven has been Joey’s ride or die for over two decades, inseparable since birth they are cousins by blood, yet brothers by choice. Whether it be on the golf course, on the game, or a Friday night with the boys, wherever Steven goes Joey probably isn’t far behind. Sports debates between these two are always one for the ages, spanning back since elementary school, these twos love of sports, is only matched by the bond they share, day in and day out.

Time is not always the indicator of a great friendship. Although Giuseppe and Joey have only been friends for a couple of years, the bond the share is immeasurably deep. Between finance and geopolitics, the stock market and sports, these two can talk until the street lights come on. An ability to look past a NFC North rivalry (Joey/Lions and Giuseppe/Packers), these two still enjoy football together every week.

Built through many years and many sports, the bond Aidan and Joey share is special. From youth flag football, coach pitch baseball, to simulator golf and talking sports for hours and hours, this bond spanning close to two decades runs through thick and thin.

A bond built through baseball, golf, video games and football, there is never a good time that isn’t had between Nate and Joey. A guy who can make you cry laughing when you want to throw your golf club in the water, Nate and Joey are as inseparable as they come.

Always down for a good time, Gio never fails to be the life of every party. If Gio is there, every person in the room is better for it. There are few people on Earth with more love in their heart, and Joey has been the benefactor for over a decade and a half. Through distance and season, Joey can always count on Gio. Blood could not make them closer. Gio was there for Joey at life’s hardest moments, with a shoulder to lean on and great advice to move forward.

Similar to the Bride, even though Tyler was born in the 20th century, that doesn’t stop him and Joey from being the best of friends. What started out as the return of a 60° wedge at Riverview Highlands has blossomed into a deep bond of friendship. From deep talks to intense range sessions, Joey and Tyler share a friendship that is stronger than the lofts on game improvement irons.

What started as crew mates on a baseball game, has formed a connection built on brotherhood, accountability, and a shared love of many things. Even if the whole stadium is against him, ball/strike/safe/out, Nick always has Joeys back. Another bond that proves time isn’t everything, between golf, Fortnite, and especially umpiring baseball these two share plenty of laughs and great memories.
