Things To Do

We were both born and raised in Colorado Springs and still currently reside here, so here's just a few top places we like to visit, eat and explore at both local and with a little bit of a drive outside of the Springs area. We hope you try to visit at least one of these places while you're out here for the wedding. Be sure to let us know if you liked it!

Garden of the Gods Park

1805 North 30th Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80904
, (719) 634-6666

Visit one of the most beautiful national parks in the United States. You can hike, bike, drive or horseback ride through the many giant red rocks there.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80906
, (719) 633-9925

Located high above the city on the side of a mountain, this zoo has a wide variety of animals for you to see and interact with. A chairlift also runs over the zoo providing views of the park and surroundings. They even have a resident sloth that hangs over you on ropes in the monkey house. Super cute and one of our favorite places to go.

Salsa on the Rock Fresh Mexican Grill

802 Village Center Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80919
, (719) 266-9244

They add a fresh twist to Mexican favorites featuring seasonal, Colorado-proud ingredients. They source locally grown ingredients from small producers when available and only cook with the freshest ingredients available. This is our favorite local Mexican restaurant to share fajitas at. Also one of Kristen's favorite places to get a quality frozen marg from!

Cave of the Winds Mountain Park

100 Cave of the Winds Road, Manitou Springs, CO 80829
, (719) 685-5444

Explore the various caves of the Pikes Peak region. The most famous section of the Cave of the Winds is the Silent Splendor room. The room contains numerous rare crystalline speleothems. Really cool to see!

Crystal Park Cantina

178 Crystal Park Road, Manitou Springs, CO 80829
, (719) 685-5999

Modern mainstay serving homestyle Mexican mains, local craft beers & margaritas in adobe-style digs.

Black Bear Diner

1340 Garden of the Gods Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80907
, (719) 268-6874

A restaurant chain in the Western United States which serves homestyle and "old-fashioned" comfort foods. One of our favorite places to eat for breakfast.
