Hi all, With all the unknowns in the world today, we though it best to communicate our plans for Kristen and Driskill’s wedding in Belize. Our first choice is to hold the wedding as planned, but events outside of our control may force us to cancel. The resort has graciously extended our cancellation date to on or about January 5th. What that means is: If you’ve bought airline tickets, hold on until the 5th. If we cancel, you should be able to use them for another flight anywhere in their system and they will hold your money in the form of a credit for up to 1 year from the ticketing date, not the cancel date. If you don’t use the credit for another ticket within that year, the credit is cancelled, and the airline keeps it. If the airline moves one of the flights more than 2 hours or cancels, you can get a full refund, if we cancel. If you haven’t bought a ticket, your choices are limited as Southwest has cancelled service to Belize. The risk of waiting until January to purchase seats is the flights may be sold out or the fares are high. If you are booked at the resort and we cancel, they will refund your money less a $75.00 fee. We cannot avoid the $75.00 fee. If you are not booked at the resort, they have not released the unsold rooms for sale to other parties. Wait until Jan 5th to book so you can avoid the $75.00 fee if we cancel. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you as we know the uncertainty can be tough. We look forward to celebrating with you all! <3
