Like many modern love stories, ours began on Bumble, where we bonded over golf and World War II history. After a week of chatting, Kristen asked, "Are we going to meet or what?" Luckily, Andrew had one free night before a leaving for an out-of-town military exercise. For the first date at Dharma Blue, Kristen wore three-inch heels to fact-check Andrew’s profile height—and he passed! We closed down the sushi bar after four hours, then talked for hours more in the foggy street. The history theme returned during a trip to the Dickens Christmas Festival in Franklin, Tennessee, with our parents. Kristen thought we were just staging a photo in front of the Christmas tree to recreate our 2024 holiday card. Instead, Andrew surprised her by dropping to one knee right there in front of the parents. From theme parks and golf courses to family gatherings, we have loved every chapter of our story so far, and we cannot wait to build the rest of our history together!
