Travel Note

For Planning Purposes

Please be aware that driving anywhere in the bay area, especially in SF, the traffic varies heavily based on the time of day and direction that you are driving. Typically mornings going to the city, and afternoons headed away from the city have the most traffic. Keep this in mind when booking flights and deciding on times that you want to fly in and out. We always say, it can take you 20 minutes or 2 hours, all depends on the traffic...

San Francisco International (SFO)

This is a very large airport, one of the biggest in the country, with a lot of flights in and out so it may be a great place to start looking for flights. Distance to Napa: 57 miles Time: 60-150 minutes.

Sacramento International Airport (SMF)

This is a mid-size airport that has a lot of flights and is also not as busy. We always prefer SMF if the prices are comparable to SFO just because the lines are always short and you typically get through the airport with ease. Distance from Napa: 63 miles Time: Typically around 60-80 minutes but can vary based on traffic.

Oakland International Airport (OAK)

Smaller airport in the area but worth checking ticket prices. Distance to Napa: 50miles Time: 50-110 minutes but can vary based on SF traffic.

Hotel / Airbnb Note

Please note that Airbnb is very limited in the Napa region and hotels and inns can get pricy if you wait too long so please book early! More reasonable rates can be found in American Cannon and Vallejo (about a 15-20 min drive from the venue).

We have a few family members already booked here. While it is a bit out of Napa, it will probably be the best pricing you can find. It is about a 15 minute drive to the venue (depending on traffic).

This is the closest hotel to the wedding. It is located less than 2 miles from the venue.

For guests looking for a more upscale or "bougie" hotel- The Archer is a great choice! It's located in the middle of downtown Napa & has a rooftop bar with a phenomenal Sunday brunch (bottomless mimosas, of course).

Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel

For those military guests, if you are wanting to stay in downtown SF for a night or two before of after the wedding, this is a great place that we stay at every time we go into the city. They have awesome prices for military members!
