Question

What is the weather like?

Answer

Early July in Humboldt County is typically mild and comfortable. Days are usually in the 60-70s with cool coastal mornings, and evenings can dip into the low 50s. Rain is uncommon, but we suggest bringing a layer to stay comfortable once the sun goes down. There is often evening fog that can be very chilly, especially at the beach, please be prepared.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Welcome Reception — Elevated Casual We know many of you will be traveling that day, so we want you to feel comfortable without being too dressed down. Nice jeans, sundresses, skirts, or trousers are all welcome. Please just avoid athletic or lounge wear. Rehearsal Dinner — Coastal White Attire We’d love for everyone to wear all white with a breezy, coastal feel. Men, think khaki or linen looks—light trousers, airy shirts, and relaxed tailoring. Women, flowy minis or casual maxi dresses in soft, summery fabrics. Polished yet effortless. Make sure to bring a sweater, it will be chilly! Wedding Day — Summer Semi-Formal Our wedding will be outdoors among the redwoods, so think dressed-up but not too stuffy. We’d love for guests to wear cool summer tones—blues, greens. Men may wear suits, summer suits, or a nice shirt with trousers. Feel free to wear American flag accessories (tie/socks) for the holiday. Women can wear dresses or dressy separates. Please do NOT wear any red dresses or white base floral dresses. Please skip stilettos (grass!) and opt for wedges, block heels, or flats instead. Brunch — we know many are traveling home this day so come as you are! You also have the option of joining the wedding party by wearing your most fun, exciting, crazy PJs! Humboldt can be chilly especially at night, so I recommend planning on bringing a light layer for any event.
