How we met

07.10.2020

We grew up one town from each other but didn't meet until 30ish years later. My grandmother introduced us, something I'd never thought would happen! We had moved grandma into a retirement home in late June. Within a week she had befriended the director maintenance, Kris, discovered he was single, told him about me, and then worked with my mom to get us connected. I told my mom to give Kris my number and let him take it from there. We texted constantly for about a week then met for our first date. We were officially dating two days later!

How he proposed

03.11.2021

Kris had a plan. The ring was coming. He had ordered a custom copy of Lord of the Rings with the inside hollowed. There's a space to tie the ring and on the opposite page is the quote "I would rather share one lifetime with you, than face all the ages of this world alone." I was supposed to open the box, thinking it was yet another collectible figure or nerdy gift (for those of you who don't know Kris he has an extensive collection of action figures and collectibles) and then open the book and realize he was proposing. That's not how it actually happened! We had worked together on the ring and ordered it online. I knew it was coming soon just didn't know when. An unmarked white box showed up at the door one day. I was the only one home to retrieve it so I had my suspicions. Kris played it cool but he knew that I knew it might be it. The book wasn't going to be here for another week and a half and he was headed back out on the road for work. Rather than wait, he coordinated with my sister, joined me for a walk that evening and proposed down by the river. Not exactly what he planned but still special. The book arrived much later and will now be a fun memory. See the photo section for pictures!

Our Wedding Day

06.26.2021

With rain clouds looming and previous week's high of 98 degrees we weren't sure what to expect for the wedding day. The actual day turned out perfect. Not sunny, but a picturesque overcast for a classic New England backdrop. We celebrated with a small crowd of friends and family on the beautiful porch of the Blueberry Fields B&B. Thank you to all those who have shared your love and support with us!
