What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside in the museum’s courtyard. The rest of the evening will take place indoors.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 30-45 minutes before the start of the ceremony which is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm!

Where should I park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is available in the museum lot, which is shared with the Elmhurst Public Library. There is also free parking on Cottage Hill Ave.

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

While we haven't reserved hotel blocks, we have listed some recommendations of hotels in the area on the Travel page.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Are there any Covid restrictions?

Answer

With IL’s recent action lifting mask mandates, guests are not required to wear masks at the venue. This is subject to change based on Covid case numbers, and we will have some masks available if needed. Please refer back to this question closer to the wedding day for any updates.
