The Wedding Website of Courtney Chan and Krisztian Gado
We can’t wait to welcome you to the Big Apple! For out-of-town guests, we’ve reserved two hotel blocks below at the Livingston (JDV by Hyatt) and the Moxy Brooklyn. You’re very welcome to use the hotel blocks; however, NYC hotel prices fluctuate quite a bit, and some guests may find better rates or locations by booking independently through sites like Booking.com or directly through hotel websites. There are 8–10 hotels within about a 10-minute walk of MyMoon. For more budget-friendly options, we recommend looking in Long Island City, Downtown Brooklyn, or Lower Manhattan. We highly recommend using the NYC subway during your stay, as it's by far the easiest way to get around the city and to the venue. For convenient access to MyMoon, we suggest staying near the L or G subway lines. Note: NYC has strict short-term rental laws (most Airbnbs/short term rentals for <30 days are illegal). Be careful to avoid scams or last-minute cancellations!

Train

Directions by subway

Most guests will likely find the subway the easiest way to get to MyMoon: L Train: Take the L to Bedford Ave, then walk ~5 minutes G Train: Take the G to Metropolitan Ave, then walk ~8 minutes From Manhattan, Williamsburg is typically just 1–3 subway stops away depending on where you stay. We strongly recommend using Google Maps, Apple Maps, or MTA app for real-time subway directions during your stay. Leave plenty of time to commute in case of delays or track changes!

Rental Car

Directions by car

For guests driving to MyMoon, please note that street parking in Williamsburg can be limited, especially on weekends. We recommend allowing extra time for parking or using a nearby parking garage, ideally with advanced booking. From Manhattan, the venue is typically about a 15–30 minute drive depending on traffic. From Boston, the drive is usually around 4–5 hours without major traffic delays. Guests coming from New Jersey or Long Island should expect NYC traffic and tolls when planning their trip. We recommend using Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze for real-time traffic and parking guidance on the day of the wedding. Nearby parking garages: Metropolis — 11 Berry St LAZ Parking - Atelier Garage — 46-24 11th St Rideshares are very easy to get in the city at all hours of the day and night! Services we recommend include Uber, Lyft, Curb, or hailing a licensed yellow cab. If taking a taxi, be sure it's an official yellow cab and confirm that the meter is running at the start of your ride.

Train

Amtrak

For guests traveling from Boston, we highly recommend taking Amtrak Northeast Regional or Amtrak Acela to NYC. Trains run frequently between Boston South Station/Back Bay and Moynihan Train Hall/Penn Station in Manhattan. We've personally snagged round trips between Boston and NYC for less than $60 before, so definitely check it out! Northeast Regional (4-5 hrs): tickets can start around $25–$70 one way if booked early Acela tickets (3.5-4hrs; high-speed rail): tickets around ~$80–$150+ one-way, especially on weekends or peak travel days If you're planning to take the train, definitely book early (at least 2-4 weeks in advance), as prices increase significantly closer to the travel date.

Flight

LGA or JFK

The two closest airports are LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK). LaGuardia Airport (LGA) - Taxi/rideshare: ~25–45 min, typically ~$40–70 depending on traffic/time of day - Public transit: Take the free Q70 bus, then switch to the to the F/R/N metro line, and finally the L metro toward Williamsburg (~45–75 min, ~$2.90 total) John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK): - Taxi/rideshare: ~35–60 min, typically ~$60–90 including tolls/tip - Public transit: Take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, then the J train to Broadway junction, and finally the L train towards Bedford Ave (~50–75 min, ~$11–13 total) Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR): can sometimes offer cheaper flights, but travel to Brooklyn is typically ~45–90+ min and ~$80–130 by car depending on traffic/tolls.
