Only about 30 miles outside LV and incredible for stargazing! Timed entry during the day but not at night. There may be some ice this time of year depending on weather.
Valley of Fire State Park

Valley of Fire State Park is a hiking and photography dream, and trails will be open in November! No reservation required most of the year, getting there early is advisable.
