Matron of Honor and Sister of the Bride
I’m lucky to say that Anna, my big sister, has been my built-in, and lifelong, best friend since birth. She always set a great example for me as her little sister, while giving me space to grow and be myself. I love and appreciate the goofiness and laughter we share when we’re together, and when Kris came along, he fit right into our fun, just like he fit right into our family. I’m absolutely honored to officially become Annoying Little Sister to BOTH Anna and Kris—their love for each other emanates to those around them, and they are two of the most supportive and uplifting, silly and goofy, and loving people I know. WOOOOO!
Best Man and Brother of the Groom
Alex Karpinia is Kris’ bigger, younger brother, separated by just 18 months—a near Irish twin scenario. Living in Melbourne, FL with his wife Kasey and their dog Dunkin, Alex cherishes the weekly debriefs with Kris. Alex is very proud of Kris and is elated with his engagement to Anna.
Bridesmaid and Cousin of the Bride
I unfortunately don’t remember meeting Anna, since it was the day I was born. I’ve been lucky enough to watch her move through life years ahead of me, getting a glimpse of things like middle school or college before I had to endure them myself. I can’t wait to add marriage to that list.

Tim and Kris met back in 2013 while working together at Blue Ridge Outdoor Education Center in Toccoa, Georgia. In 2016 their friendship continued when Kris joined Tim in NY working together at Taconic Outdoor Education Center. Tim and Kris have now known each other for over 10 years, from hikes in the Hudson Valley to trips to Florida and the Catskills they made many memories, if they could just remember them all. Tim played an integral role in Kris and Anna’s eternal partnership, some might even say if it wasn’t for Tim they would have never met. From dropping Kris off at their very first date to picking him up from the train station after his car died in Montreal on a trip with Anna. He has seen the two of them grow into the lovely couple that we all cannot wait to celebrate come October.

Friends since the first week of college. Bonded over Vampire Weekend, Irish step dancing to B*Witched’s C’est La Via, and gin buckets. Countless phenomenal memories since Davidson living and so excited to keep making more. Can’t wait to scream Stacy’s Mom at the reception!

Kris and I met in elementary school but we didn’t become good friends until middle school while hanging out at the skatepark after school. We spent many hours playing halo and RuneScape though his brother Alex always seemed to be the master of both. Our cherished friendship has lasted the test of time just like the golf clubs I gave Kris in highschool. He still uses those ancient relics.

Anna and I have an epic, storied friendship that spans the preceding 14 years. We survived undergrad at Union, and made it through our 20s as the closest friends, and now we enter her married years and beyond, as friends for life. I’m so excited for Anna and Kris!

Aaron was languishing in Ithaca in the summer of 2015. He was desperate to find a job applying what he had learned in college, but was instead simultaneously working as a barista, flower delivery boy and selling ads in the local newspaper. There was an unmatched level of excitement when he found out that he had gotten a job at the Taconic Outdoor Education Center, a place that he had gone on field trips to in Elementary School. What Aaron was unaware of at the time was that he would be meeting two lifelong friends, Tim and groom to be Kris. Kris is a genuine ray of sunshine, fitting as a Floridian. His positivity, energy and overall outgoing attitude stunned our less peppy coworkers. When teaching young children about nature, Kris truly shined, and it was clear to see just how good and kind hearted of a man he was. I recall his excitement around meeting Anna, and not a moment too soon, and everyone can see how he cherishes her. Aaron is honored to share Kris and Anna’s special day, and be part of their shared community.

I first met Anna during our freshman year of college through the our cappella groups, and while I originally knew her as the little white girl with all the rap solos, I now know her as a lifelong and dear friend. We grew close quickly due to having similarly absurd and questionably appropriate senses of humor and have shared countless nights in stitches over something that would make the average person eyeroll. We've been many things since we first met, first friends then best friends, then roommates, and all through out we were also Kenny's babysitters. Anna is someone I can always be myself around and that is the ultimate quality in a friend. It's something I see she has with Kris as well, and I'm so honored to be a part of their special day.
