Eat, Drink, See, Do!

There is no shortage of incredible things to eat, drink, explore, or get into in New Orleans. The list below some of our favorite things to do across the city! Our top three must do's: 1. Grab a "Blue Bike" (electric bicycles sprinkled throughout the city) and pedal up Magazine Street. 2. Have a Nola day! Take a great cocktail to go, and just meander through the Quarter - popping in and out of shops, bars, spaces. 3. Make a reservation (or pop-into) one of the spots listed below, and enjoy one of the best meals of your life! If you're looking for something specific, text Nick or Dani - we'd love to share our favorite city with you!

Ruby Slipper CBD

200 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Must Order: "Peacemaker" Eggs Benedict with Chicken St. Charles and Eggs Cochon. Pro Tip! Join the waitlist before you leave the hotel to ensure a shorter wait. Just make sure you're at the right location - there are several throughout the city!

The Carousel Bar & Lounge

214 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Must Order: Hand Shaken Pina Colada. End of Story. Pro Tip: This stunning revolving bar is nearly always packed - we'd recommend going at a random time during the day (say, just after breakfast or in the middle of the afternoon). There's no line and no reservations - just keep an eye on folks paying their ticket, and ask if you can take their seat!

Cafe Beignet, Royal Street

334 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Must Order: Croissant Breakfast Sandwich, Cajun Potatoes, and Beignets! Pro Tip: A beignet is a New Orleans staple - and theirs are to die for. There are several locations sprinkled throughout the Quarter, but this one is our favorite! The space is beautiful, and they have both a full espresso machine for lattes, and a fountain Dr. Pepper machine for my Texas gals in the morning.

Napoleon House

500 Chartres Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Must Order: Muffuletta with a side of potato salad, jambalaya, and the spinach artichoke dip. Pro Tip: If you're a small party, ask to eat at the bar - otherwise, the courtyard is to die for!

Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar

739 Iberville Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Must Order: Chargrilled Oysters and a Mississippi Honey Bee! Pro Tip: Ask to sit upstairs on the balcony, it makes for great people watching! This little spot is right off of Bourbon Street, and is one of our favorites for "classic" Cajun food. They have a great mixture of all the things you should eat when you come here: jambalaya, red beans and rice, blackened redfish, and raw and chargrilled oysters.

French Truck Coffee

217 Chartres Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Must Order: Iced Vanilla Latte Pro Tip: If you're into cold brew, grab a box of the "cold brew pods," so you can enjoy a New Orleans iced coffee, even when you're back home.

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar

941 Bourbon Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

Must Order: Voodoo Daquiri (also known as The Purple Drank) Pro Tip: This little bar is a haunt at the end of Bourbon Street, but the sheer strength of one of these is worth the walk.

Willa Jean

611 O'Keefe Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70113

Must Order: Dani loves their "WJ Breakfast," but as long as you order with something with the biscuit, you'll be in great shape! Pro Tip: They have an online waitlist you can join before you leave your hotel... and pastries you can take with you when you leave.

Jacques-Imo's

8324 Oak Street, New Orleans, LA 70118

Must Order: Shrimp & Alligator Sausage Cheesecake, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Blackened Redfish, and Stuffed Catfish. Pro Tip: This place is a good 15m Uber ride from the Quarter, but WELL worth it. This is easily one of our top 3 favorite places to eat in all of New Orleans. Parties of 5 or more can make a reservation, so grab some friends and get ready for one of the most delicious meals of your life!

The Camellia Grill

626 South Carrollton Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70118

Must Order: Bacon Omelette with French Fries, Chef's Special Omelette with Chili, or a cup of gumbo and a grilled cheese! Pro Tip! Hop on the streetcar at the corner of Canal and Carondelet (download the "Le Pass" app on your phone for streetcar location and payment) and enjoy a "free tour" of the Garden District as you ride on by to breakfast or lunch!

Segway Nation Tours - New Orleans

1501 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70112
, 504-717-6236

Pro Tip: This is SUCH a fun way to see the city - but as with the general theme of the weekend, comfortable shoes are a must!

Haunted History Tours

723 Saint Peter, New Orleans, LA 70119
, (504) 861-2727

Pro Tip: Lean into the spooky side of New Orleans... these tours are such a fun way to get to know some of the "darker" side of the city, and often find a cool bar or two! After your tour, see who knows more about the city - you or Nicholas, Mr. New Orleans himself.

Royal Carriages

700 Decatur Street, New Orleans, LA 70116
, (504) 943-8820

Pro Tip: You can easily walk-up to the carriages, and see about hopping on a tour - or you can pre-book online. This is one of the sweetest ways to see the Quarter, bobbing along with a mule guide!
