Celebrations will start on Friday, March 28, 2025, and the wedding ceremony, second line, and reception will be held on Saturday, March 29, in our favorite city in the world: New Orleans, Louisiana!
We'd ask each of our guests to wear cocktail attire, but think "New Orleans in vibrant springtime." For ladies, a knee-length or midi-length dress in bright colors, feathers, or sparkle is celebrated and encouraged. For gentlemen, a suit and tie in any shade is just perfect. Seersucker suits included! (Nick has a great recommendation if you're on the hunt for one.) Also, please wear comfortable shoes. You can't second line in stilettos!
Although we absolutely love your little ones, the entirety of the weekend is an adult-only affair.
As much as we'd love for everyone to find love in New Orleans, we are only able to accommodate the number of guests noted on your save the date envelope, and RSVP card (once those are sent later this year). If you are unsure, please just ask Dani.
Call or text Dani, please! Our menu will accommodate those who are gluten-free and nut-free, but please flag anything additional.
Yes, absolutely! Please see the "travel" tab listed above for details.
The second line is a New Orleans tradition that signifies the beginning of our new life together! It is effectively a walking parade led by a fabulous band and Grand Marshall, where we'll hoot and holler down the streets of the Quarter. Your role will be to walk, skip, dance, and drink with the entire wedding - from ceremony to reception!
Unfortunately not. The ceremony and reception space are located in the heart of the French Quarter, where parking is extremely limited. We recommend walking, calling a Nola Pedicab (504) 274-1300), or utilizing Uber or Lyft to get to the ceremony space. Then, the entire wedding will "second line" from the ceremony to the reception space together!
New Orleans is a city all it's own - but what I would recommend: In packing: bring comfortable shoes, breezy dresses (with a slider short underneath), a good crossbody bag, and whatever kind of fun revelry you can imagine to wear. There's not a single person who will judge you for what you wear. To prepare for your trip: watch "Somebody Feed Phil: New Orleans" (on Netflix) for an idea of what makes this city magical, or pick up a copy of "The New Orleans Bucket List: 100 offbeat adventures in the Crescent City." When you get here, watch out for folks who ask, "Hey, I betcha I can tell you where you got your shoes," or the monks handing out bracelets—they're both scams. As you would in any city, be aware of your surroundings, and don't be out wandering by yourself late at night. But beyond that - just embrace where the day (or night) takes you... as one of our friends says, "Have a Nola Day." No set plans, just the desire for good food, good drinks, and good friends. There's nothing that we love more than grabbing a cocktail and just wandering through the Quarter, and doing just that.
It is very likely. We are still taking applicants for the role of "Official Bulldog Babysitter," if you're interested.
Pronounced "crew," a krewe organizes parades, parties, and events, typically for Mardi Gras. Krewe of Hiatt refers to you and the incredible people we can't wait to celebrate our wedding with!
